The Somerset part isn’t 100% accurate. They only sold the land, but according to the news articles are still involved in the projects somehow (my guess is they are minority partners somehow). I’ll just throw this out there, but one possible reason to sell would be to cover their part of the HFY nut (though I think the more likely reason is the banks are more likely to give Brookfield the loans).

I mean YIMBY's trash either way but I'm curious about this Somerset detail. The articles I've seen don't seem to point the way you're suggesting but I'm probably missing something.

Have you read my 100 posts over the last 3 days? I delve into this a little, as much as anybody could looking at a mashup image.

Edit: the proposal actually says expansion is possible if warranted. No numbers attached, but I had guessed 10k +/-
Do you happen to have a link to the actual proposal, the news articles I can find all do that wonderful thing where they will tell you everything about information you want except direct you to where it actually is.

The proposal is linked in that naysayer website (not Village Voice) from yesterday (I don’t remember the site but try around pages 665-668). It’s in 5 parts.

I think revamping the Rochester Rhinos would be the better option.

Early estimates on the stadium were between 400 and 500 million depending on the site. That was the "commitment"

It didn't include any sweeteners like retail or residential.

this is still my favorite thread on the internet.
The ferry option would amazing, but having access to only one train line is less than ideal.

Looks like the 138 St/Grand Concourse 4/5 stop and the Third Ave/138 St 6 stop are about the same distance away. So two lines?
