if i had to imagine i dont think he has anything more than we have here. im willing to bet that his info is the same as our speculation. I could be totally wrong
Ok, who is he?

He's implying that he has info, which IMO is greater than speculation. I'm just trying to figure out if I should give him having info any weight at all. I've never heard of the guy.

He said he does have info that he thinks is credible

Based on my own both first hand and second hand info, people connected to the club have been a little looser about dropping hints and vague, generalized expressions of confidence very recently. I've also heard second hand about non-club people who claim to be involved and they're also broadly hinting something is close. Plus there were the reports in the NYT a few months ago about the garage site, and the Real Deal website a few weeks ago. There's a lot of smoke. It could just be dry ice, but maybe it's kindling.

From what I've gathered about him over the past few years, he's a NYCFC fan who has a connection or two within the city offices. Who or what those are, no idea. Could be the mayors assistant or the guy who takes out the garbage. I'd say take most things like this with a grain of salt and move on.

He's been around a while. He has a profile here but hasn't posted in a long time. I've met him (but don't claim to know him) at some events and he seems a decent chap. He writes about the team independently as far as I can tell. I don't think he has true inside scoop but I don't doubt there are people willing to tell him things OTR.

FWIW, this will be my last renewal without an announced plan. Fred Jr was 10 for the inaugural season and without an announcement soon, he'll be in college for a new stadium.

I'm downgrading this season. Their STH #s next season are going to be a disaster, even with an announcement. And especially without Villa.

So from before 2019, to before March 2019. They're just moving the timeline...

I still remember that we'd get an announcement soon. And that was in February 2017.

was the explicitly said in a tweet or article?( not saying these tweets are any more official) i could of sworn it was just a word of mouth comment here and there, on reddit then here.

Nerds in the group: Any reason to believe that the Amazon news has a negative impact on a potential stadium effort for the short term? Am I reaching?

In the sense that it agitates people who don't like giving away value to wealthy organizations that don't need the money and heightens the focus on those kinds of deals, yes
