Article today that CFG is interested in building a SECOND training center for Man City - this time in London.

We have a piece of shit training facility and no stadium. Where’s the ambition
If CFG applies this same rationale to NYCFC, who has to play matches across four time zones, as opposed to a 45min flight from Manchester to London, then NYCFC should have a West Coast Facility in LA and a Southern Facility in South Florida. And it’s not that I’m advocating for the multiple facilities, just shaking my head at an organization that is making a farce of the idea of competition in the EPL.

What’s interesting is that if they get rid of the territory monopolies for MLS Academies, we should probably put training centers outside of New York.

FWIW, Man City surveyed fans today about willingness to buy a safe standing season ticket as they plan an 8k seat expansion of the Etihad.

The proposed price was £580, which is about£30/$38 per game, which would be the cheapest tickets in the stadium by £16.50/$21.

They can’t sell what they have. Why expand?

Petro-tourism about to explode?

When I was at the Etihad a month ago, I was surprised at how much of a wine and cheese crowd it was. Very closet resembles our gamedays inside. Everything outside the stadium is fantastic though.
