The long-standing model for charging to season tickets was to pay in full, up front, with no financing and no refunds. Then some teams, including NYCFC, offered better terms: a 12-month financing plan with no extra fees and no interest.

			In response, people have repeatedly complained every year since they added this option that:
- They don’t make it clear that you can’t get a refund for payments once you make them- even though you never could under the 1-payment model either and entertainment tickets are never refundable at will;

- The payments start too early- though payment starts only in time to be fully paid up 1-2 months before the season ends instead of before the season starts under the old model;

- You can’t sell or trade-in some tickets more than a few weeks out (because they haven’t been paid for yet)- though adjusting for that would require that payments start even earlier;

- The team builds a price list based on the monthly payment instead of the average per ticket cost- because they’re hiding a lower price by publishing a higher one.
