PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE use the spoiler tag today if you talk about the Europa Cup Final. For the score, or how exciting/not exciting it may be, or even the lineups, just hide everything. I don't want to even think about the game until I can get home, open a beer, and hit play.

Thank you!

I think the rule repeatedly urged by Midas Mulligan makes sense. If you talk about it in a thread whose title is directly point: ie a Europa League thread, then it's fair game. Anything further afield but related, like a Premier League thread or Dutch football thread, if we have one, or even ManU or Ajax, should use tags.

Anyone who wants to avoid it can do so with minimal effort, while making it easy for those who want to discuss it without extra steps. But discussing it anywhere else should be tagged with spoilers.

Yeah, I'm fine with Midas way of doing things, but I wanted to make sure people actually remembered to do it and not have a thread about Villa turn into Rashford scoring or Valencia being victimized repeatedly.

You may want to even change the title and reference the final so that folks don't think this is just a general thread about spoiler tag use and skip it. I am going to have to schedule a 2:45 "meeting" because my four year old will be watching at home and is incapable of withholding spoilers (usually a face time call after every goal).

You're a bad parent to willfully lead your child into such an evil as supporting that club.

if I don't want to know about a game I'm going to watch later I stay off Twitter, FB and pretty much any sports site on the internet. Works like a charm
