My post is not about whether or not Maxis is a good DP. You told KJ that we shouldnt discuss whether Maxi would be better at another position because thats not what position he played this year. Its a provincial small minded comment. If we cant discuss or speculate about that, this forum has no point.

So he's saying he's playing a 10 because he's our best option for that this year. When he was signed. As a DP. As a 10. He also says it's not his fault. So I answered on that exact basis:
I addressed Maxi's role -- this year -- as a 10 and as a newly signed DP. And answered the contention that it wasn't Maxi's fault. Maybe I'm wrong, but it was right on point as a response. And yes, I mocked, because I believe it's silly to judge his role this year -- which is what KJ addressed -- here on the basis of hypotheticals. Now, going back to your posts you are the one who brought up discussing Maxi's role in the future. That's a worthwhile discussion, since I think it is as certain as certain can be that he returns. But I didn't know you were authorized to speak for KJ. I also thought you were attempting to reshape the discussion in this thread which is about whether PV, and on an extended basis Reyna, deserve to come back based on -- this year and last year. Sorry I didn't cooperate with the thread jump. To the extent Maxi is relevant in this thread it is (1) did PV use him well, and (2) did Reyna do good job making him our DP signing. Which is what I stayed focused on. We have multiple threads debating the roster and individual players next year. Context.

Yeah, really makes you wonder why Khiry got all those minutes at the end of the season if he was surplus to the subs on the bench? Can only imagine how much more of an impact Lewis would have had if he had received all of Khiry’s minutes those last few games - hed have had confidence and a better understanding of the game flow, err, except that he seemed pretty damn comfortable in the few minutes he was tossed.

The only way blaming refs works is to have proof like Petke and not simply be flippant by putting them down.
Yeah I am hoping that he's already been promised to some other team and PV didn't see any point in including him now that his future is elsewhere.
I agree with you that he'll be back, but I do wonder what European teams see in him if he is constantly making mistakes and being outdone in a lesser league. To me, he's shown to be pretty good tactically and I think he teaches his system well, but his game management leaves a lot to be desired, which is arguably the most important attribute for a manager.
