Seat Relocation In Progress Thread

Damnit no seats will be available in 136 when my rep calls Thursday... :(

I added 2 more seats, I hit it lucky the seat next to my original 2 was available in 213 and managed to add anoher in the first row of 213
Cool. Did you get my old seats, 213 Row 1 seats 1-2?

The value of the advantage of choosing earlier appears to be somewhat overrated based upon the process. The only real advantages were the first shot at the seats that were dropped before the process began and in the newly available sections (and some accumulation of dropped seats for relocation). Otherwise, it's mostly luck as to when folks happen to drop seats to relocate, depriving folks who already picked the opportunity to choose those and giving the later choosing folks a shot at them. It was pretty much a shot in the dark selecting seats before our first season, so the seats ultimately selected are not necessarily indicative of best to worst based upon timing. And so much of it also is personal preference. So some great seats likely will still be dropped for relocation for various reasons and people who have not yet chosen still have a shot to be pleased with their selections.

Agreed. I would add that if you do not like what is available when it is your turn, you are free to sit tight, and then I believe, come back later any time until the process is over to see if something better opens up. Check with the rep who calls you to confirm this.

Well said!

Why is this thread making me wish I was relocating?

I know (because I asked) that Batter's Eve Section was not available for purchase prior to the selection process. I had been playing around with the virtual view for days prior Dec. 1st and it kept showing row 1 in BES2 & BES3 as gone. It seemed like it had already been made available for purchase for new season ticket holders. Nice to learn that was NOT the case. I didn't ask about all the new sections but I'm willing to guess the same applied. That is a nice thank you to the last year's season ticket holders.

Also, don't reply on virtual view for information on availability prior to your appointment. I just checked it again and nothing has changed. You will only see what is available at your appointment time.

Oh no....be glad you are not!!! This process was WAY more stressful for me then picking my original seats!!!

My appointment is in 24 hours (Thursday, 9:50 am).

For those who have gone through the process, how far in advance does the website open up for you to see what is available?

My experience was, the link to open it up was not usable (I believe it was a button that said "continue") until the second your time hits.

At your appointment time. I followed the advice of 4 413Blue and clicked on the link in my e-mail at my exact appointment time and was brought to the log in screen. When I logged in I was able to click a box for which seats I wanted to relocate and then hit continue and was taken to a screen that showed me what was available. I had signed in prior to the process a day eariler to check it out and saw the same screen with the box but was not able to click on the box to go any further.

They're definitely having issues with the seat selector. Did not work for me.
Rep explained how some people would be able to do it and others, not. Said it was outlined in the email we received. Not kind of buying it - because I received the email with the link - although I did receive TWO emails about upgrade - one with link, one without. Glitchy, in any event.

I had 2 aisle seats 4th row in 112 and mid-season picked up another pair - but in 117A, pretty far back. Being a City Beats detractor - I was seriously annoyed by the end of the season when City Beats had settled right next to the 117A seats - which took away from the game day experience, IMO.

I'm SUPER happy with how my relocation went. I ended up keeping my 4th row aisle seats (15 & 16) and added 1st row (11 & 12) in the same 112 section. Having seats together would be nice - but I loved section 112 all last season - and 1st row for one pair and aisle for the 2nd pair is pretty exciting. Can't wait for the first home match!

Worth adding that the vast majority of sections had at least some availability. Most of the sections were green not red. I did some random checking while in the process and for some it was as few as 4 seats, but there was something. I think if the section you want is not unique in some way, there should be something.

I was told that I could call back any time and see if seats were open. It's really a crap-shoot hoping/waiting for seats to open up around you, especially because they won't let a transaction leave a "single" seat between two claimed seats.

Shit. I am a little annoyed now.

I had added on seats during the course of the season and my primary goal was to get all the seats next to each other. however since YS re-numbered their stupid rows to a way that makes sense now, what I thought was me getting all my seats together in the first row of the section is in fact actually me getting all my seats together 12 rows back. Which is upsetting. I kind of want to call and see if there's anything closer, but I am afraid it will make me seem greedy and ungrateful considering they managed to get me my seats together and on an aisle.

I would call. Can't hurt to see what they can do for you. You are a season-tickets purchasing fan, the lifeblood of the club, and therefore deserve to be happy, particularly if there was a misunderstanding.

Had my appt today at 3:50.... Got a call at 3:50! I was in the car driving down to Philly. No computer access needed. My original 2 tix are in 214A row 7 and half way thru the season I added 2 more in 213. I wanted to condense the 4. My rep, Tom, set me up with 2 in 214A row 7 and now 2 in row 8 directly behind. Not bad all things considered!!

And it took all of less than 2 minutes! Smoooooth;)
