Will this effect us? (Yankees Ticketing issue)

Sorry for the late reply, but you can't disagree with actual numbers. If they make more than half of their revenue from ticket sales that means less than half of their revenue is from concessions and merchandise. Which means they make more money from ticket sales. And that other "less than half" also includes all broadcasting and sponsorship revenue.

So they most certainly do not make more money from concessions and merchandise than they do from ticket sales. They make much less. Not an opinion and not something we can agree to disagree on.
Sorry, I must've missed something - where are these numbers you're referencing, especially the ones that allow you to group broadcasting and sponsorship in with the less than half portion. Or are you simply spitballing?

If you have the monthly payment plan, you can't manage tickets you haven't paid for yet.

Thanks for the info but in my case I was referring to tickets I purchased for family members (vs LA etc) and are paid for.

An unnecessary mess.

Today i felt like my girl cheated on me, or my best friend stole from me or probably worse. What these greedy bastards do with us fans is just crazy. If i have problems this year sharing any of my two paid seats with family i will not renew next year. Im f''n pissed.

So there it is they are moving away from print at home, at some point. The news release says you'll be able to print for the time being, till the plan is implemented. Anything purchased before April 1st by city members, can still be printed. At least that's how I read it.

Not sure because I bought front row tickets in 104 on ticketmaster yesterday and they aren't available to print. Only available on Mobile devices... I was able to pull it up on the ticketmaster app... Kinda weird because when you check out it says print at home but it's not...

I've only done print at home thru the account manager as a STH, so I can't speak to the issues regarding purchasing thru ticketmaster and trying to print thru them. I think, ticketmaster might be able to change their policy, a lot quicker and without the uproar that NYCFC will encounter. I truly think this is entirely a yankee stadium generated issue, NYCFC is changing on the fly to fall in line with the yankee position on print at home tickets.

I'm repeatedly torn between having sympathy for our customer reps for having to answer for team lies(or in this case Yankee required BS) and maybe even being required to pass them on directly, and then thinking at some point your own sense of self-respect and ethics has to kick in.
I've said this before and it's still true. In almost 30 years of law practice I've been lied to less than in 2 years of being a fan of this team.

I think there will be more of a fan friendly resolution when the yankees start to play, the pressure will start to pick up again when this is an every day issue; not the few home games ( in yankee stadium eyes) that we have before baseball starts.

Did you purchase via ticketmaster?

I logged in to my NYCFC account manager, which Ticketmaster runs I believe..... Through there I purchased the extra tickets....
There I have "access" to my season tickets and the extra ones....

"I think there will be more of a fan friendly resolution when the yankees start to play"

Nothing against you but that's not making anybody feel better, that's the Yankees problem. Us fans shouldn't have to be mistreated while they sort out their nonsense

The issue comes back to the yankees vs. stubhub, while there are a lot of good reason we want the print at home option; for the yankees it is about selling on stubhub vs the yankee ticket exchange, or in our case the nycfc ticket exchange. Ticket security and pdf verification is all crap; it's about control, and from what i saw at the stadium last year the yankees like to be in control. Have we seen anything about the yankee/stubhub situation since they had a "meeting" ? I haven't .Will we when it gets closer to the season that is really important to the yankees? probably. Here's another question if city members who have purchased before 4/1/16 can continue to print, does that mean if your on a payment plan; you won't be able to print any games that aren't paid for prior to 4/1/16? There's a question that needs to be asked of the club.

I transferred my buddy one of my seats for the game through the Account Manager transfer function. I sent it a few days ago, he hasn't accepted yet. Will it give him the option for the mobile ticket even though I didn't designate it when I sent it (not sure that even was an option on my end). Thoughts on what I should tell him to do?

Maybe a stupid question but how does one bring their kids if everyone needs a smart phone ticket? Everyone without a phone waits to get a ticket printed at the box office?

Another complicating factor is that I think Yankee ticket subscribers have the option to choose regular stiff paper tickets, which we've never had. So putting aside the StubHub issue, this move was always easier for them and their fans as there is a failsafe for the new, untested mobile ticket system. We don't have that. Print At Home was our fail safe. [I don't consider the cards our failsafe as PAH was the backup for when you forgot or misplaced your cards].
Add in that apparently NYCFC thought they would be allowed to keep their system and had it yanked away last minute, and it created a real scramble. Print At Home was already activated for Game 1; there were no instructions for Mobile even published yet; Game 2 followed only 5 days later so the timeframe for Print At Home came with no activation and no explanation, causing everyone to ask questions; and this is where they made things worse for themselves they decided to stall, give inconsistent and sometimes clearly deceptives answers until they were ready to make an official announcement after 5pm Friday; which by the way is less than 48 hours before the first game and I expect maximum chaos.

1. This is why I have contempt for our front office. They created this mess by deliberately waiting until after 5pm on Friday before the game and left a half-assed FAQ.
2. Jay - I would see if you could undo and start over. Short of that I'm out of ideas.
3. Lee, I think, think, that you can have multiple tickets on your phone until you transfer some away.

I would also suggest any STH with issues email their reps even though it's the weekend. They should be working and responsive to help settle this mess they created.

Just finished speaking to Emily and she said its okay for all STH to attend games with both Print & Mobile options. Also it's alright to sell tickets through StubHub as well and whoever buys them, they will be okay entering the game with a Print out ticket. Weird, huh?

You should be pissed but really this is a Yankee issue they are having a pissing fight with Stubhub and they own the stadium so NYCFC has to basically do whatever the Yankees want.

Once we get our own stadium many of these nuisance issue will hopefully go away.

For how long:
The official statement says: "While we work towards this solution, City Members who have purchased prior to April 1, 2016 will continue to have access to transfer their tickets via print-at-home while we implement the policy."
That could be all season or 2 more weeks.

She said during the whole season.
She kept mentioning STH tickets are safe for Print & Mobile options.
