October 22nd Game Moved to Citi Field

Dear CFG,

Congratulations on pissing off your fan base again. Is this a personal game to see how much you can annoy your most loyal fans in a given year?

i get it but the second you started to follow team you knew shit like this was possible.....Yankees have priority

though to be fair i seen more mixed reactions this time compared to hartford, where it was a unanimous WTF

mets and queens fans that i know seem to be ok for now....couple even excited

No one expected 3 seasons of virtually no update on the stadium search.

lol...its nyc....you cannot be serious 3 years to hear something....PLUS you are wrong ....belmont is there and officially bid for it....thats much more than stadium search
That's the timeline CFG was proposing, it's not our fault they could not follow through.

Belmont was a bid for the sake of doing so. Everyone who has been following the process knows NYI virtually have it locked in behind closed doors.

you dont know that.....i dont know that....this may be it ....and its not just a bid to "appease" someone

it could be that the state decides hey lets do soccer and forget hockey and we are awarded the bid

I mean sure that would be great, but people close to the situation have reported that they would be utterly stunned if NYI didn't get it.

I think you're overlooking my main point, however. We are about to enter season four with virtually no real update on where we stand minus a half-assed Belmont bid.

disagree....we have a huge update...its belmont....If we get awarded it or not.....or if we like the location is another matter though but the update is there

But it's just a bid. One we are going to lose in all likelihood. If and when we do, then what? No progress on any other site.

That's fine, but we are at a point where we feel more like guests than the home team at Yankee Stadium and are having matches moved. The time for hope is over; we need a clear vision and direction.

What’s the price of parking there? The 7-train May force that hand.

we always were guests to this stadium

there is a vision ( accesible stadium in boroughs) ...but the road may be very rocky and possible it may not even happen soon....who will remain when ( and if ) it happens is yet to be seen

I am interested in going to Citi Field, and I think there are things about it that can be fun - the RoxFest Tailgate chief among them. However, there is a big downside here. I think that we will have fewer fans and not nearly as good an atmosphere. That stinks generally, but especially when the last home game was over a month ago. Hopefully, people will really turn out, and they will make enough seats available.

so how is the field going to be? it got smaller didnt it? so we may have smaller pitch than at YS?

Nope. Our pitch at Yankee Stadium is the smallest you can have.
