CCL - March 8 - Comunicaciones (Home*)

*Puts on tin foil hat* Random thought… I know RBA is unavailable, but what if the club chose Hartford over RBA because they felt more Guatemalans would be able to attend in New Jersey thus giving us a crowd disadvantage. Move the game to Hartford so we have more of a home crowd advantage

No Third Rail offer I presume? I'm not sure if I really want to spend $70 to watch a game with 700 other people.
Third Rail can't sell tickets to this match because it's a home game. They are doing a bussing through from Yankee Stadium and City Hall (downtown Manhattan).

Daanggg. Cheapest seats now are $101.50 (plus I'm sure more fees at checkout.
This match, in this venue, aint worth that lol.

i am surprised they are going for that much. did they already sell that many tickets to justify the price increase?

Sure looks iike it.

When I first opened the ticket thing when they went on sale, only 124-118 and 226-222 were on sale... now others are too. Must mean tickets went, which is encouraging

Just as an update, my ticket rep confirmed and did not mention any price for the bus ride.

I expect quite a few Guatemaltecos, regardless of location. Wouldn't be surprised if they outnumber us like they did Rapids fans.

Yikes. They just raised prices up to $95 and opened a couple more sections.

Sorry to keep spamming with this q, but can a TR member report how much the tickets are and what capacity looks like? I'm trying to figure out if joining TR is worth it.
The Third Rail membership portal currently has no game tickets for sale. The page for bus tickets says:

THIS IS FOR BUS TICKETS ONLY! MATCH TICKETS NEED TO BE PURCHASED FROM THE FO DIRECTLY.
Roundtrip seats on Third Rail buses are available at the cost of $10 each for you and up to 7 guests.

I think joining TR is worthwhile generally, but if you were currently planning to do so solely to get a ticket for this game I do not think that is an option.

I got my confirmation from the club (not the Third Rail) today. The bus from Yankee Stadium is free. $10 charge if you do not show up.

I wonder if this is directed at the Guatemaltecos who might want to come to this game. Fleece the ones that are super passionate and make it less likely for casual Guatemalans to show up to root on the visitors.

So the CCL experience for NYCFC will be 2 games in completely empty stadiums in “non-home” team cities followed by basically 2 away games where they are outnumbered with away support.
