It will be really interesting to see what we run out.

I agree with Soup that we will either be in the 4-3-3 or (less likely) 3-4-3. Certainly nothing else.

Gomez has never appeared for us in an MLS game, so I don't see him getting a start, but hopefully, he gets an appearance.

RSL is really struggling with all the people they have missing. The question is whether to go for the 3 points here and run close to a regular lineup, or hold the usual starters back for Orlando and hope you can get a good result in Salt Lake City anyway. My preference is to take the bird in the hand and only take out 2-3 regulars, but there is logic on both sides.

Petrescu is eh. What I'm more pissed about is that Geiger is calling our match on Sunday vs. Orlando.

I am not sure about the backline for the RSL game. I have doubts that Coach V will start Sweat for 3 straight games, so perhaps RJ is on that side with Gomez at RB, but I also doubt that Gomez starts when he hasn't yet made the field for us. There is also the possibility that Brillant starts instead of either Callens or Chanot. Finally, there remains the chance that Ugo will start in place of Villa, but I really think Coach V will want to have the Captain in there to grab and early goal before coming off as the first sub.

MLSsoccer.com Projected Lineup

Projected Starting XI (4-3-3): GK: Sean Johnson — Ethan White, Maxime Chanot, Frederic Brillant, Ben Sweat — Andrea Pirlo, Mikey Lopez, Tommy McNamara — Jonathan Lewis, Sean Okoli, Rodney Wallace

orlando is going to san jose for game tomorrow ....still not as tiring as us but they dont get full weeks rest
No doubt! But it's at Sea level. Less wear on their legs and lungs.

True, but they do have somewhat significant more flight time. Assuming direct flights:

MCO -> SFO -> MCO is 4,880 miles
DFW -> SLC -> MCO is 2,916 miles

I used SFO above because there are no direct flights to San Jose from Orlando according to Kayak.com. Google Maps says that SJC and SFO are about 35 miles apart, so not a huge difference.

We should have direct flights as DFW is an American hub and SJC is a Delta hub, so there shouldn't be any issues there.

I like the RSL Starting Lineup.

Projected Starting XI (4-3-3): Nick Rimando – Reagan Dunk, Aaron Maund, Chris Schuler, Chris Wingert – Kyle Beckerman, Luke Mulholland, Albert Rusnak – Jefferson Savarino, Yura Movsisyan, Joao Plata
  • Suspended: None
  • Int’l Duty: F Brooks Lennon, D Danny Acosta, D Justen Glad, F Sebastian Saucedo (U-20 World Cup)
  • Injury Report: OUT – F Chad Barrett (knee surgery), D David Horst (knee surgery); QUESTIONABLE – M Jordan Allen (right quad strain), D Demar Phillips (hamstring injury), D Tony Beltran (back injury), M Kyle Beckerman (calf strain), GK Nick Rimando (hamstring injury)
If they really do put Wingert at LB, maybe we just go ahead and start Jack Flash.

I rate Chris Wingert so low, I think JLew could make moves on him.

What is the mileage for JFK->SLC->MCO? Def not as far as SF, but still a drain when altitude is factored in.
