I wonder if Jo Inge will get slated to start in his first action for the Club and after being sick with a respiratory illness last week - might be a lot to ask him to go 90 (or 70) under the circumstances.

3-0 lead by the 60th minute, right? Sub Berget. Then Medina. Then Maxi.

Sooo the latest article from mark states that Berget and Lewis will by vying to fill the wing and Ofori, TMac and Sands for Rings spot.
Safe to say Ofori will get that job being a natural replacement.
Between Berget and Lewis I can see Lewis starting and subbing out or vicaversa.

If McNamara fills into replace Ring's role we're losing by a 2 goal margin.

I’d just like to point out that the Ghost of FootyLovin liked your post and that in and of itself is a monumental achievement.... it’s good to know he’s still lurking around here!

David Villa’s condition has been upgraded to questionable ahead of NYCFC’s second road game of 2018.

The 36-year old missed the 2-0 victory over Orlando City SC last weekend but hasn’t been officially ruled out for this short trip to take on the New England Revolution.

(Questionable is better than doubtful but not still good as probable. I don't see him playing.)

Elsewhere, Ronald Matarrita is definitely out with the hamstring injury he sustained on Saturday but it’s considered currently too early to give a clear timeline on his return date.

(He hasn't gotten an X-Ray and MRI yet? What the hell are they waiting for?)

Jo Inge Berget and Anton Tinnerholm are both passed fit for the game after missing the Orlando win, while Alex Ring and Rodney Wallace are away with their nations for international friendlies.

(They also passed their fitness tests the day before the game last week too, let's see if they pass them tomorrow.)

For the hosts, Isaac Angking is out, according to MLSSoccer.com, while Zachary Heivaux and Gabriel Somi will be gametime decisions.

Injury Report

NYCFC

OUT – Ronald Matarrita (Hamstring)
QUESTIONABLE – David Villa (Calf)
INT’L DUTY – Alex Ring (Finland), Rodney Wallace (Costa Rica)

New England

OUT - Isaac Angking (illness)
QUESTIONABLE - Zachary Herivaux (ankle), Gabriel Somi (head)

Has anyone described as questionable ever actually played for us that week?

Without knowing I would guess yes on the grounds that the club is slow to release info and would rather not announce that a recovering player is fully fit until they have to release the 18. It just seems like how they would do things.

The big question for New England doesn't involve any of these guys. It's whether Lee Nguyen gets in out of the doghouse or wherever they've been hiding him the last 3 games.

Also, Nemeth is on national team duty.

I don't like Medina as the 9. He looked way more comfortable at wing and our offense clicked alot more. Let the kid get use to one position first. I would almost prefer Maxi as a false 9. TBH, we all know deep down that this has a T-Mac start written all over it if Berget can't go.

I’m assuming Scrooge is Ofori (Ebenezer) and Shred’em is Tajouri-Shradi?

By the way, Crooks said that if only using one of ITS’s last names, it should be Shradi, not Tajouri (Crooks asked him). So basically everyone - except JP who called him Shradi in the SKC game - has been calling him wrong.

Speaking of Crooks, SITC has been bordering on unlistenable. Most of last week’s show was a argument about “I want a player who has suffered” and a campaign to get Ben Sweat on the national team (??!!??). Rojas is the only sane person there.
