Word on Twitter that I've seen was our fans failed to honor a minute of silence for the Chattanooga killings, and used anti-gay and anti-semitic slurs. The anti-gay was specified to be Puto but nothing I found mentioned anything specific about the anti-semitic.

I've not joined in Puto chants but I always thought it pretty much meant Pussy didn't realize it was more anti gay than that. Show's my non existent spanish. If it's actually a slur and not just a swear it shouldn't be used in any language.

As a mostly non practicing Jew myself I find that disturbing if some of our boys were chanting anything anti-semitic. In what context ? Do New England have a Jewish player I'm unaware of? Hard to fathom since New York has such a large Jewish population and presumably there are a fair number of us among the NYC fan base.

You'll probably see Iraola, Facey, Mena, and Angelino <---- Watch our problems be solved in the back, yes I have that much faith in Mena.

This is seriously what we need!
He looks like he has good speed and a strength, no doubt. I'm inclined to think he'll be a definite improvement.

Lee Nguyen converted.

I'm joking. I have no idea, but I was wondering the same thing. Bob Kraft? Obviously, it has no place anywhere, but I can't even discern any sort of rationale that makes it even a contextually appropriate slur here.

Pitiful NYC supporters. Can't even get it together with our hate speech.

So, not to defend Grabavoy at all, but dose anyone think that was actually a red card worthy foul?

I just didn't see it as that bad of a foul. It could have been argued either way for yellow, but to me, the red was ridiculous. But it does give us a better team next week, assuming Kreis doesn't try Wingert out at the tip of the diamond.

Well stayed up to watch the game and wished I hadn't lol

The most glaring thing about our squad is that it is totally unbalanced

Why didn't we recruit a couple of wide players?

Even if Kries wanted to change formation he is unable to do so because of our lack of width.

I didn't know anything about Kries before following New York, but he does seem to be struggling to get his tactics right.

For me Grabavoy, Ballouchy, Jacobsen and Alvarez need to be moved on as soon as possible.

I know Nemec hasn't done much, but why bring Alvarez on when we could have brought him on and played a few route one balls to see if we could get get a goal.

I think the reason Angelino went off was because he had an injury.

Studs up fouls never look bad. I used to get annoyed but learned it's just how refs call it. Mostly. And you have to just accept the mostly part as well.

I don't know if it's this, but someone on Reddit previously mentioned a skinhead group that had been kicked out of the SG sections at Yankee Stadium but has come to the away games? I don't know... it's NYC, if they hate Jews you'd think they'd move anywhere else on Earth (aside from Israel). (I thought of a few ways we can showcase our Jew-ish pride but they're all pretty tasteless)

Puto means little boy or punk technically, nothing slur or racial about that.

I'll probably regret asking this, but what happened in the stands?

Someone got arrested before we even entered the stadium. Same 3 chants over and over. One dumbass trying to get into a fight with a guy a level below. Looked like a couple of people were escorted out. Two dudes got into it in the parking lot.

Don't be surprised if we are handed greater sanctions over the rest of the season, including loss of travel tickets entirely.

Well MLS better reimburse my money if they don't let us go to Red Bull Arena.
