Should...because we all know that dome getting fired has no chance of happening.
I understand the apathy we all feel and presume of this club, and we can question the ambition of this club, but, I don't understand why everyone seems to believe that come hell or high water, Dome is here to stay.
This club, and the organization as a whole, has never shown a history of sticking with a losing manager. If we are still flailing in June, I think he is gone. Although I do agree that if we are able to wind up in a playoff position, he'll stay until the end of the year.

David Villa called up Soriano or Khaldoon to express his displeasure at Kreis. Nobody is going to do that now, or probably has either of their numbers. We're fucked with Dome for the rest of the season.

Came here to post this. Villa made the call on Kreis and even then they waited until the end of the season.

And that’s the issue. I’m not sure if CFG even listens to Reyna, and there isn’t any strong voice in the locker room like a David Villa to make the call to let them know what a shit show it is.

I think people tend to read too much into how they handled Kreis. There are so many differences, and I don't think we can expect consistency even to the extent the parallels are strong.

So yes, Kreis got to the end of the season, but, that also coincided with a full year for him, and remember he had a first-half roster that was significantly more crappy than it was even at the end of the season (no Pirlo, Lampard, Iraola or Angelino). As bad as the first half was -- firing him before those guys showed up (and especially after management deliberately withheld Lampard) would have signaled massive instability. Only the desperate would want the job. In contrast, Dome took a top tier team and (assuming no improvement) will have ran it into the ground over a full season of games by midsummer. Sure, it was disjointed between 2 seasons but it's a fair enough shot.

On the other side, I don't think that CFG consider themselves bound to fire a coach for failure to make the playoffs just because they mentioned that as a reason for Kreis, so even if the team stinks, Dome could survive all season, and come back next year because they're just going to do what they want.

There are a bunch of other differences too. I just don't think the Kreis situation offers much insight into how they will handle the current problems.

These are all good points.

It's also worth remembering how the season rolled along. Good start (5 points in 3 games), followed by terrible (3 points in 10 games). Then, importantly, the team went on a roll in June and July (16 points in 8 games). I don't think anyone was getting fired in that stretch. Then, it was 4 points in the next 7 and the die was cast, but by then, it's early September, so why not let the string play out?

Also good points.
We tend to forget that 2015 was not a single uninterrupted streak of misery. There were periods of hope and fun even after the First Historic Home Opener.

Saturday
A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 60.

The problem is that Medina will be in.

Where’s tonya Harding when you need her?
