Figured we all seem to make prop bets here from time to time. We should have a place to keep track. Feel free to add your own with a post and make your fellow forum member pay up at the end of the season.

BET: Barring injury, Medina's one of our most important players this season and gets sold for more than $7m.

Wager: And not just any beer, I'm talking one of those fancy craft beers that you have wait in a long line at the stadium for.

I think it really depends on the $7mm fee. I'll give him that Medina was an important player if someone wants to pay that much for him.

If the Forums are going to go into betting/wager, LionMOD requests further clarification on this bet.

"Barring injury" - How many games due to injury can Medina miss before this bet is void?
"One of our most important players this season" - Please use a calculable metric such as G+A
"Gets sold for more than $7m" - When does the sale take place or no limit on the timing? Before Month Date, Year?

You guys really take this way too seriously! Any significant injury will get dummyrundummyrun out of this, hell I might buy him a beer for being a good sport if that happens (still owe him after he bought when he won fantasy). Timing? dummyrundummyrun agree this sale has to take place before the start of the 2020 season?

Sale by the start of next season is fine, and I agree that the quality criterion is subsumed by the transfer clause. If failure to sell leads to a dispute we can poll this thread on whether his injuries were substantial enough to waive the bet.

Entirely too many lawyers on these boards imo.

I'm mostly kidding, not that worried about Medina's anonymity under the circumstances (preseason, new role, low block, Bedoya unhelpful) but it was a frustrating performance that highlighted some of his negatives from last season. Wish Tinnerholm had cut that one ball back for him—the timing of his trailing runs is his most dangerous quality in the middle.

    Speculation time:

Did he not cut it back because the window was too small or did he not cut it back because he didn't trust Medina?

Didn’t see the play so I’m curious if the “small” window was threading between 2-3 defenders or was it 5m of space in all directions?

I kid, sort of..... if guys don’t trust certain teammates, it’s over. Considering how long it took management to realize it, the writing was (finally) on the wall last season when TMac would be in space and teammates ignored him.

This would surprise me. Medina's issue was never that he was a worse finisher than others. I think that was just a miss by Tinny. He didn't think he could thread the needle so he knocked it across.

Agree. It was too obvious a pass to make without getting cut out really.
