Orlando clearly underestimated demand for that team. Their executives have said they might just build straight to 25K from the outset. They want to see how attendance does over the course of the year.

I think this problem is much broader than just Orlando. There are several teams in the league that basically max out their attendance at low levels because their stadiums aren't big enough. And, if you believe that MLS attendance is only going to grow, then this problem is only going to become more acute. The real issue is that a lot of the soccer specific stadiums are topped off with covers and don't look to be easily expandable.

I agree with Gotham Gator Gotham Gator. If you're regularly getting 30-40k you have no need to artificially pump demand by building at 60% of that. They underestimated demand. They're outpacing us in a metro area less than 1/5 our size. To be fair a football stadium is much better for soccer than a baseball stadium, but it's impressive nonetheless.

OTOH we never stooped to lasers.

Not quite sure whats happening in montreal, but there crowd numbers have been poor lately . Maybe they are busy watching the nhl playoffs ??

Otherwise a good week boosted by the SJ game at Levi stadium

Maybe they are sick and tired of watching subpar football every single season.

Don't want to change the tenor of this thread and have this every week. But for point of comparison occasionally it's interesting to see how other leagues are doing.
