2017 Relocation Thread

And you'll be eating a $100 meal for dinner included in the price of the ticket. It's a buffet so you can take as much as you want.
I would like to challenge this claim. I have not been there, but I have been at a yankee game in the legend suits so i assume the buffet is the same. The food is good, but you gotta be eating like a maniac to eat $100's worth. And when i say $100 I mean a real $100 not sticker price $100. Easy to call a bag of popcorn $10 cause stadium prices are ridiculous.

So for me I am in 127b. Its $120 per game for two tickets. The same in 27b is $380. So $260 difference (4.4k per year).
I am going to approximate $100 of stadium food is a real $25-30. Also I park on the street, so parking is free for me anyhow. However for argument sake I will assign it some value, i'm not sure but I assume its ~40 per car (2 tix = 1 comp'd parking) Together, its $100 in free perks for 2 tickets. So these are better seats at effectively $160 per game, 2.7k for the season ($80, and 1.36k individual).

I guess better seats should be roughly twice the price, but it requires me to stuff my face to make up the cost. I hate deals that make to do excess stuff to improve the price point. I would consider these tickets if they were say $130/seat a $60 addon for food/parking that I could decline (and I would).

Do they do the in seat delivery for the Legends seats? any others?

The lovely Emily has told me I am 12/6 at 3:50. Still need the actual e-mail with the instructions.
"There is no need to call the office.
You will receive a phone call from a NYCFC representative at your appointment time.
During this time, you will be able to relocate your seats through the Virtual Venue.
For more information on the relocation/add-on process, please see below."

Go to any restaurant and order Alaskan King Crab legs. You'll probably be paying $40 for a plate because of market price (at a resturant, not a grocery store). Now at Legends you can eat all the crab legs you want you...so you can eat $100 worth if you truly want to.

While NYCFC doesn't have sushi, if you eat a lot of sushi at a Yankee game at Legends, that would translate to a large bill at a good sushi place in the city.

Remember, the VV dose not indicate what seats are open.
Normally it does not. Access it today from the NYCFC.com site and it does not. But my memory is that it works differently during seat relocation. Last year I told the rep who called me that I didn't need his help after I logged in and confirmed that everything worked and it was easy to navigate. Then I looked around, picked my seats, and did it all myself.

My recollection is the same as yours. I am just going off yesterday's email.
  • We recommend using the Virtual Venue prior to your appointment time to get an idea of where you might want to relocate. While it will not show what is available, you can check out the various views around the Stadium.

Gotcha. I read that to mean it won't show what's available now, in advance of your appointment time. I fully expect it will when the time comes. It's really a different system.

If like last year, agreed, however I still got the impression from the call that the rep had a more "real-time" inventory then what was showing on the VV

There are also a number of circumstances where you'll have to relocate over the phone:

If you are interested in our Pitchside Seating Club, changing the number of seats on your account, or relocating from or into Supporters Seating (Section 235GA – 238GA), you will not be able to do so online and must do over the phone with a representative.
  • Please keep in mind that if you add seats to your account you will not be allowed to split your account into someone else’s name at any point in the future.

Last year, once I relocated I was locked out from VV.
I emailed and asked if I could be let back in to look again but was told no.

I bought one season ticket in April 2015 and added a second in August 2015 and I'm a bit ahead of you, so that suggests they are using the timing of the first ticket. Could be useful for anyone worried about losing their place if they add tickets.

Agree/seconded

3/5/15 - got 9-pack
3/23/15 - got Founding Member season ticket because 9 matches wasn't enough after going to opening day

12/6 3:10pm - relocation call appointment

Interesting. Direct opposite of my memory. Memory is a funny thing. years ago I would have insisted I'm right, but now I know enough to know how misleading it can be.

Funny because I wasn't sure if I remembered correctly either, but looked back and found the email chain to prove it before I posted.
I still could have relocated, by would have had to do it manually with my rep instead of looking at available seats on he VV

Got the e-mail and time slot and all is good. Thanks everyone for the help.

I get the feeling that things might be done slightly different this year in terms of what you can accomplish on line.
