Having $50 million in a checking account though is a not a wise way to manage one's money.
It’s sad that that’s immediately where my mind went as well.

Incompetent?God. Why are we so difficult sometimes.
Incompetent?
For a team that values secrecy on so many fronts, it’s amazing they allowed this to get out prematurely. Now maybe they flubbed it since player acquisition is the one area they have a proven track record of goofs, but short of that, it’s baffling in a vacuum.I think it’s ignorance and indifference.

Just playing around with data, simple sums and what not. First list all players, 2nd list top 18. I didn't feel up to looking who is a DP and who is bought down by TAM/GAM or who had transfer fees associated, so just made a simple list.

I wouldn't go as far as it being a vote of no confidence. Perhaps as Fantazma said they just wanna get Barraza minutes and maybe their plan was to have Caldwell on loan the first half of the year and Barraza on loan the second half of the year to split minutes between the two of them.1. A vote of no confidence for Barazza as emergency back up.
2. A possible vote of no confidence for Stuver and Caldwell gets the starts going forward till Sean Johnson returns.
How could it be no-confidence in Stuver? What would he have done to deserve that - his last match he had numerous quality saves.1. A vote of no confidence for Barazza as emergency back up.

Well the reaction on Memphis 901 FC Twitter is that they don't want him to go.
Caldwell Stats per Memphis’ website:
14 starts, 18 goals conceded (1.29gpg), .608 sv%
