2019 Schedule Thread

It's a league office problem, not NYCFC...plus if our opponent announces the match, then we know ours...

Isn't this about them announcing Austin stadium when Precourt still owns Columbus? Also, based on his comments, is the whole CLB franchise (players & FO) moving to Austin & a new expansion franchise will play in CLB under the Crew name (Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens style)?

I really thought they were going to reveal the home opener today when they posted all the goals scored in home openers since 2015. Nope. It’s like they’re trolling us.
I think in all honesty they were going to, which is why that video came out. Clearly something else has occurred, hence the "plot twist" and whatnot

I wonder if we're ever going to get a first week home opener? Though it seems to me that they do a "whoever gets home opener on first week also goes away on decision day"

So what would we prefer? I, personally, would prefer having home on decision day.

If it’s one or the other, than we have to get home opener this year. Because YS will be playing Baseball on Decision Day 2019.

Personal preference, I like the home opener being the second match of the year.

There is going to be a ton of excitement for the first game no matter home or away, and there is always going to be a ton of excitement for the home opener.

For the home opener, you've already seen the team get a game under the belts (a real game), and the excitement builds to actually see them at home.

As long as the Yankees make the ALDS, yes. Why don't you ask Manny Machado what he's thinking?

See post above: http://nycfcforums.com/index.php?threads/2019-schedule.6344/#post-267870
As long as the Yankees are at a minimum in contention for a Wildcard spot as of maybe 2 weeks before Decision Day, I think they would have to move the game (if it were scheduled at home, which it won't be). They can't wait until the Yankees lose a wild card game to move the NYCFC game.
Which I think you know but it didn't quite come out in your exchange.

And if the Mets are in contention too... Best thing they can do is schedule Decision Day away to avoid the worry. Deal with the playoffs if/when it becomes an issue.
