Hasn't NYCFC been approved to set up temporary structures at their training facility to produce matches and accommodate traveling teams?

i dont think the training center was ever an option since its not big enough to follow all the social distancing protocols and why waste money to remodel to even accommodate TV production crew and cameras when using another stadium is probably easier. The ones rumored were RBA or Army Black Knights soccer stadium in west point

Unless the MLS is Back Tournament gave them a roadmap as to how they could accomplish this. It might actually be harder to socially distance at a stadium than it would be to do it at a training center where they can build out everything they need to build out. But does Red Bulls arena or West Point have the necessary facilities to allow teams to socially distance -- and West point isn't going to be wired for TV if they use the soccer field there, so there would be no difference in terms of the TV production in going to West Point than in going to the training center.
I don't think that's true. It certainly is (was?) an option as of a few weeks ago. Check out 14:35 of this meeting:
Looks like it was at least in pretty advanced discussions with the town and planning to move forward.
Get used to it, RBA is gonna be the San Siro of MLS.Season resumes:
