The IIs and their open cup run is keeping my NYCFC spirit alive. Romero will be pushing for the first team conversation before too long horrible start but was amazing in the second half.

man really good chance but ball got away from jones on the slick turf. a simple cut back to a wide open ojeda would have been sweet.

It was definitely there for the taking. Oh well. It was a good performance from both of them tonight. Ojeda was especially impressive. He can play.

Well, that was fun. I've always enjoyed bad weather games. It's usually just the hardcore fanatics.

It was odd watching a Red Bull team dominate play while we were effective with quick, direct counters. Jimenez needs to show Bakrar how to be accurate. I thought Jones was a bit selfish at times. He needs to look up and find the open man. He got dispossessed a few times when there were open people ready to strike. Ojeda was a bit quiet until a few runs towards the end. Didn't see a ton out of McFarlane, although he did pass out of trouble effectively a few times.

Worth the trip and the weather.

Also was great to see Romero recover from that blunder with a huge PK save and some other solid stops.
