2026 Roster and Transfer Discussion Thread

Hmmm… there may be some competish between him and young Maxi for heir apparent of the midfield. If he was captain of our team for a while that bodes well for his character and usually his abilities.
I like his bio: academic honor roll, led the ACC in shots, team captain (again), got an entrepreneurship thing going on in his studies, said all the right things in the release. Dude profiles really well.

Welcome to the show, Cooper.

Feels like most of our homegrowns are signed between 16-18 years old. Cooper is 21, which indicates to me he could get more playing time than some of our other homegrowns.

Seems promising, do we know if he's a CAM or more of a box to box CM, I can't seem to find much into on where he typically plays.

He said in his first interview, he's a center mid who likes to be on the ball and likes to be on the end of things, too. He isn't afraid to shoot, that's for sure. Music to mine ears.

Another pigeon comes home to the flock. Very cool.

Defenders always seem to take multiple years to develop, so it's hard to get as excited about homegrown CB signings. That said, between Murray and Acito, it seems we have two very high upside prospects for the future. 6"5" and 6'3" respectively, if they both come good, we are going to be looking like the Union along the back line in a few years.

I don’t think Haak is an everyday player for a top MLS team challenging for Shield but he’s so useful to a team and can spell in seamlessly in so many roles.
Exactly this Is a guy that can play multiple roles and has done so on a consistent playoff team. If he’s not a starter he’s a #1 backup at multiple positions.

And he’s 24 years old. What a fuck up.

What a monumental failure by the front office. This is a joke. What the hell are we doing? Why are we allowing a 24-year-old versatile player growing into a starring role walk out the door? The hubris of thinking our scouting network can find someone cheaper to do the role when we had the perfect option under contract.

David Lee masterclass got this process started last year, by the way. For all the image-building he's tried to do, this is largely his fault for not re-signing Haak when we had the chance last offseason.
