2026 Season Ticket Thread (Next Year)

2026 renewal email just dropped. My 2 tix were $1535 for 2025. For 2026 they are $1801. My math says that's a 17% increase.
I’m going to see Lazio (and Taty unless something goes wrong) Monday night. They are duking it out for a CL spot and I got tix near midfield for 57 Euro. I don’t see why anyone but nutters like us would even consider paying these prices to see our current squad.

Ps I asked my rep if we would have access to more tickets in the new stadium and she said I’d be safer doing “like for like,” i.e. adding back another to make a pair next year. If they were sure of themselves they’d be telling us that we definitely needed to add a ticket to add tix in the new place but they are choosing to hedge. With the price increase and no clear plan to upgrade our players I’m gonna wait and see on that second ticket.

When you compare ticket prices in the PL to ticket prices in MLS, it's incredibly stark. American sports fans and American sports culture is that we get absolutely ripped off in comparison to the rest of the world.

There would be riots in the streets if they tried charging American prices in Germany or England.

I had an idle thought or two about going to a Brooklyn FC regular season match a while ago but for the three sections near the center line they're $50 each. I just couldn't do it. Yes, ours are a bit more, but the Brooklyn FC women's team is not in the top league and there's not very many people there in the first place. Was similar for the New York rugby team last year, also in Coney Island, except those were more like $75.

For the same $50 I went to a Gotham FC playoff game last season and sat directly on the center line. It was playoffs, the top league, with a lot of USWNT players on the two sides.

For comparison Man City Women's tickets are $24.

Ticket prices in this country are insane. It's insulting to our intelligence. You can't get into a Rangers hockey game for under $150. What are we even doing?

We don’t riot about economics in this country, anymore.

One of my friends dropped his season tickets a few years ago. He just got an email addressed from nycfc@supportersmail.nycfc.com which is probably not a real account with the club.

In the email it claimed he had $704 worth of unused credits and parroted a lot of things the club has been saying in emails such as "priority access to Etihad Park", proper dates "Use your credits by May 17th". His NYCFC account shows he has $0 in credits.

Also mentioned the "first 10 members to secure their tickets will get on-field passes to watch warm ups" for the game vs Red Bull. Lol...

There's no phone numbers listed in the emails and only links to click on.

Just passing this along in case others get this possible scam.

Wonder how this phishing email came to be? Was the club hacked? Something he did on his end that understand his interests?

I also got the email, but only had about $37 in credits.

I believe it’s a scam but the team is using a similar email address, as that is the email address I received for my 2026 renewal pricing. It was sent by Joe Redmon.

I told my rep a few weeks ago I was 99% sure I was going to drop membership for next year. Yesterday she texted me saying they were hosting an event in a suite for members who are looking to drop. Tempted to take the ticket, probably get some free crappy food out of it... but I was once traumatized by one of those aggressive timeshare sales experiences and this sounds like it might be an awful lot like that...
