Andrea Pirlo [Midfielder]

ANDREA Will Never Get the walk of Champions and retirement celebration ceremony like his past teammates have had ! How The F did he end up doing this to himself ??? This makes me physically ill ! DAMN HIM !!!:mad::mad:

Thoughts Anyone ?? NickA NickA JGarrettLieb Midas Mulligan Midas Mulligan JayH JayH Paul joe Christopher Jee Christopher Jee mgarbowski CatNYC just to start with.
I think that it would be fitting for NYCFC to hire the sculptor who sculpted the Ronaldo bust (and more recently the Gareth Bale bust) to honor Andrea. In fact, if they were to present him with the bust immediately, he likely would depart on the next plane to Italy in horror.

I honestly think after watching his old teammates play in the CL final this Saturday, he will want to retire. The only thing that will keep him around is the team does not have a Plan B with him. I believe if they have someone in the wings ready to go...a good talent, a good name, they can make a midseason retirement work.

Any idea when this happened? Does this explain his performance this season?

I had mentioned something in another thread about 2 weeks ago that one scenario was that he had aged rapidly all of a sudden or something like that. Not sure how I worded it but that was the gist.

If he never sees the pitch again in a pro league because of an injury that's kind of shitty.

He's always been my favorite footballer but with that said, it's tough to feel bad for Andrea Pirlo. He's batting 1.000 at life thus far.

It all makes sense. He's a little older, playing in a league not optimal for his skill set, playing in a system not optimal for his skill set, playing with personnel not optimal for his skill set, and with diminishing drive, enjoyment and commitment. That's a spoiled recipe.

After all this will just be a blip on the storied career of a soccer hero. I just hope that it becomes a blip a few months sooner.

It's really only a blip because we say it's so. Because let's be honest, he's helped people win prettier. But has he ever really been a difference maker? I'm not entirely sure. Could buy either story.

Juve under Conte and Italy 2006... maybe it's arguable but the safe bet is that he is was a difference maker. You could argue he defined the role of the regista... that's no small feat.

He took over games during Italy's WC run. He quarterbacked Milan to a massive run of trophies. Juve is up for debate. There are others better equipped to argue his case but I would take the difference maker side.

Sorry we crossed.

Bait and Switch ! I say to any of those on this forum with ties to the club to Stop putting out Andrea's Image on advertising for games when his unofficially no longer a part of the team ! This practice is unfair to him and others who think they're coming to see him play . I'v had to tell 3 people about the situation about what's going on . They were very upset and felt duped by The Club . All theses people wanted was just to see him play . They have real lives and not apart of knowing what's happening . This is Starting to be a problem now . Andrea and the club both need to understand people don't have the time for this BS . He should leave immediately . Pay out his contract and dismiss him so the advertising can reflect Truth .

I mean, if they're paying him, they can do what they want with his picture. Even our FO wouldn't screw that up.

They obviously didn't want to see him play too badly. They had almost 2 years.
