Angelino [Defender]

He's a great player. In our best interests, we may want to send him back to England now. I don't want to get too attached to 69.

With the De Bruyne signing for MCFC, can we swap Angelino for Navas when he goes back to the Etihad?

Aren't their transfers or something where the club the player is leaving pays most of the wages? If this does happen, we can basically just transfer everyone we want through Manchester City and have the bill rack up in England and keep us under the cap.
There's rules against that. Otherwise RB would be doing it.

I'm not even sure I blame him for goals he's helped concede. I watched an interview from February with Connor Brandt (http://www.nycfc.com/post/2015/02/26/new-york-city-fc-signs-draft-pick-connor-brandt), who played as a mid in College. They drafted him to play an attacking left back, and he mentions that our style is to "attack out of the back." This would also shed some light on Iraola and how much we've seen Allen playing all the way up to the opposing corner. I guess I take back my criticism of 69 for leaving the back exposed, since it seems to fall more on Kreis for strategizing that way before he was sure we'd have good CBs and / or a good CDM to help cover.

“I had a few spells at left back my junior year at USD, so I’m familiar with the position. I like it because of the way we like to play. We attack out of the back, so not only am I playing a defensive role, I’m still getting to attack and get up the flank like I normally would in college.”

The kid finally made his debut yesterday being subbed in on the 81th minute of the FA Cup game at Aston Villa

Angelino subbed on for Kolarov in MCFC's win against Dortmund today and scored the winning penalty.
Nice. Without rehashing the debate over whether we were actually better with him last year, on a team that didn't have that many guys who were simply fun to watch (at least among the guys that that got lots of minutes), he was always good entertainment.
