Of course it confirms what we knew about Angie, he doesn't know how to defend.Ooooh, MLS gets dismissed without even a second though:
There is certainly no questioning his attacking skills at his point but his NYCFC spell showed that he still has a lot to learn defensively, and another loan stint to a more competitive league for the second half of this season would seem like the wisest move to get him better prepared for the English top-flight.
At least they saved it for the end of the article.
I'd like to revisit this question in two years, say. I'm hoping he "just" needs a little seasoning and time. Might not make a difference, but then again it might make *all* the difference. If you saw his displays for us, you wouldn't think he'd get anywhere near challenging the City left backs.
Unless he masters a wide midfield role, I cant see him making it, at the top level.

Why should we care, his further development has as much to do with NYCFC as Jason Kreis at this point.I'd like to revisit this question in two years, say. I'm hoping he "just" needs a little seasoning and time. Might not make a difference, but then again it might make *all* the difference.
Because he's part of the team's history. And not just in general, part of the first season, waaaaaay back at the beginning. I liked him, and I hope he does turn out to be a great player. If he does, in 20 years we can look back at this season as where he got his start. If he turns out to be "just" a good player after a few years of growth and is still with CFG then we could definitely use him. Not saying we should pine over him but it might be worth keeping an eye on him.Why should we care, his further development has as much to do with NYCFC as Jason Kreis at this point.
Interesting how some don't like Angelino. I predict he's on Spain's national squad within 5 years.
As did I. that's' what I'm basing my prediction off of. Clearly had mistakes, but what I saw in potential and speed at 18 greatly outweighs.Probably. But I only saw him play for Kries.
I think he can be effective as wingback in the right system. As an out and out fullback, it's tough to imagine him being a big talent without significant development.Of course it confirms what we knew about Angie, he doesn't know how to defend.
You're right that he didn't play there that often, but I do remember him moonlighting at left wing for at least one game.I think he got too worn out, he played alot of games for the MCFC EDS - other players struggled with fatigue towards the end of their season. He then only had a short break before coming to NYCFC. At MCFC there is a player called Barker who looks to be a very promising talent and he plays LW so Angelino ended up playing at LB whilst most followers of the EDS team expected him to become a winger in the future due to his talent going forward. Surprised he was never tried at LW for NYCFC, i guess he was signed as the defence was a weakness and he looked like a good player who would not cost too much in wages. Also it definitely did not help him that he played in a team that was a mess defensively when he is a 18 year old whoes weakness is defending.
