Thanks man. Appreciate it. Just looking at my pass now and lists only 153, 161, 164, Ruppert and River Avenue so unfortunately it looks like that one is carved out. Looks perf though.

Gator has written about this and may have more info, but I have done this a few times even though I usually need to go south to the TriBoro and Queens. If you want to use one of the official lots, because I presume you have a voucher via Pitchside, you want the East 161st Street Garage. Exit on the ground floor and it's an easy path to the Deegan north.

The one twist is that garage is not so easy to get to when you exit the Deegan south. I remember Gator used to have a hack in which he entered the Ruppert Plaza garage, went down the ramps to the basement, where the two garages are connected. But I think he said that after having success with that early on, security stopped being as accommodating and wasn't letting him down to the basement level to cross over. He certainly knows better than me but I'm putting this out in case he doesn't see this in time for you.

Would be great to see Berget in the 18 today. Looks like Sweat is trying to lock down the LB position but would still like to see what Mata can do as a starter.

The Ruppert Plaza garage is perfect -- there's an exit in that garage that is one block from the highway-- it's a straight shot. It exits you right onto 161st street, the intersection w/Jerome Ave is to your left, and then it's right on the highway. That's the one I use every time.

I know it's quite controversial to bench Maxi but this decision is purely tactical. Orlando has two starting quality attackers right now. Meram and Klejstan and one of those two won't shoot the ball if his life depended on it. As a result of this Ibeagha shadowing Meram should hopefully lock down most of Orlando's creativity and finishing up top. Of course this is much more likely to work out on paper rather, than in practice.

Wait, we want our middle CB in a 3 CB line to shadow one of their attacking midfielders?

I know we have only seen one game of Ibeagha, but what makes you think he could keep up with his pace? And wouldn't this have our back line completely out of position?

People here seem to have the basic story.

I used to drive into the Ruppert Plaza garage and then drive underneath to the 161st street side, which has an easy out of the basement onto 161st street - turn left and you are on your way to the 87-N. But, as people have pointed out, they have closed the connection on the bottom for unknown reasons.

Late last year, I parked in Ruppert Plaza and just went out the exit on the bottom level. It has pretty good access to 87-N as it turns out, although there can be a bit of a line.

For our first game this year, I parked in the lot that some have mentioned - called Ali's Lot - that sits right next to the train station. It's very easy in and fairly easy on the way out, although traffic backs up a bit along the way. Note that it can be tricky to find. You need to get off one exit earlier than for Ruppert and be ready to turn left quickly. It's only $25, which is cheaper, but also a bit more of an effort to get to the stadium.

I honestly think I am kind of neutral between that lot and Ruppert.

So he has, but why have a CB shadow a forward? When teams do items like that, it is usually a DM.

Especially not one in which there is a large discrepancy in pace and movement.

Last game, Ibeagha played well. But there was one thing he was great at, owning the air and clearing out of the box. Now we just want him to stop doing that so he can chase a quicker guy around the field?

And that seems like a very strange 18. They showed SAS, Awuah, TMac, Lewis, and Mata. That would be 5 of the 7 on the bench. And have to add a CB and a GK. Does that mean Ofori and Berget and Tajouri miss the bench? Is someone unexpected going to be starting today? Or will those 5 not actually all dress?

Is it really that strange? This was our bench for the season opener except for Lewis in for Tajouri.

Maybe I’m forgetting, but I wouldn’t say Tajouri has done anything in the last two matches that should guarantee him playing time.

Continuing with that same line of thought, TMac hasn’t done anything in the last year that should guarantee him playing time, so his continued inclusion in the 18 is a head scratcher, and ok so long as he never sees the field.

Orlando has scored 1 goal per game so far, NYCFC have given up an average of 0.5 goals over 2 games with 2 CBs, why do we need to swap a midfielder for a 3rd CB against 0-1-1 Orlando? Don't think it even works on paper.
