okay so: i was hanging out with my friend and he shows me this girl, who he has been crushing on's instagram. In her bio it says rbny. My first instinct was that she likes the red bulls. No biggie, shes not my girl i dont care. But he said it means Rockaway Beach, NY, as she is from the rockaways.

Is rbny really used for the rockaways? I always thought it was just The Rockaways. "Oh hi, im from The Rockaways".
