This is just like that Miami version. Just some random designer/artist just trying his hand at design and branding. It's really nice. But in no way official.

It's funny. Usually when you name something "Phoenix" it's because of the symbolism - rising from the ashes of something that went before and failed. I'm not aware of this club having any continuity from a previous team, though - correct me if I'm wrong. Guess this one just goes down as "rule of cool"?

Yeah it's all about the Civil War, Atlanta being roasted to the ground and then 150 years later look at what they are now.

I think the Phoenix rising in Atlanta sounds dumb, but I'm a stupid Yank. I do like the sound of Firebirds though.
