Heber: I’m out of breath and tired
Medina: [ghosts away when nobody is looking]
Maxi: fck this... I’m still hurt too.

Crooks said they've been doing a lot of drilling in the final third. He said it as if it might be a new thing.Potentially no Heber, Mitrita, or Maxi.
Not sure there would even be a reason to watch.

From what I've read, it just sounds like Heber won't start. Which I don't think is all that unusual considering he just played his first game for us last Saturday and his last match before that was 12/8?Potentially no Heber, Mitrita, or Maxi.

Our players don’t even give a shit anymore. Tinny was more excited for Saturday night’s rooftop rose party
The irony would have been beautiful.Looks like a snow match. Athletic wrote about it: https://theathletic.com/917310/2019...ner-in-allianz-field-debut/?source=dailyemail
If our players aren't 100%, they probably shouldn't play in those conditions.
Also if note, MNU tried to get Liam Gallagher to fly over and play Wonderwall for the opener. He couldn't make it, but it would have been awkwardly surreal to see one of Man City's biggest fans playing Man City's song to open up MNU's new stadium agains Man City's sister club/farm team with their former assistant coach on the sideline.
How motivated are you to follow your boss’ direction when you know he/she doesn’t have a clue? You care enough to keep your job, but will you really give superlative effort for something that’s proven to be the wrong plan many times in the past? That's complete BS. The players care.
The key word was “if.”I think they are overstating the snowiness. It is snowing now and that may last through tomorrow, but Saturday will be clear and cold.
Too bad we aren't getting any Liam G. pre-game.
The irony would have been beautiful.
If it’s a snow match, like literally accumulating snow during the game, I’d seriously consider playing the youth whom should have a higher engine for chasing and hawking down balls in conditions that will prove difficult and tiring from a footing perspective. The ball will not bounce like normal and will skip faster across the snow. Get Scally and Cavani minutes. It’s going to be a fast/physical performance and likely shots/scrums in the box for loose balls.
I also would not play Mata as he’s injury prone - hello loose footing sliding into a split and torn hamstring - and there’s going to be a need for a more physical presence for loose balls in the box and being crossed - this appears to be more a game suited to Sweat.
And sit Ofori. The ball needs to go forward. If ever there was a time for a 7’ player marshaling the midfield and attacking the goal, it’s now, so Parks’ number needs to be called.
Looks like a snow match.

MLS 2019 Scheduling Video-Conference Call July 2018
The Don: OK, first let's set the big opener for Allianz Stadium.
Robert Kraft voice: You should make NYCFC play them since they don't even have a stadium yet.
The Don: Good idea. Hey Bob, why aren't you on video?
Kraft: I, um, I'm in a spa in Florida.
The Don: Sounds good! Does NYCFC object?
NYCFC: [empty chair in dark room]
Don: Where's NYCFC?
MLS lackey: It's the middle of the night in Manchester.
The Don: [sigh] So, United.
DC: Yes?
Atlanta: Yes?
Minnesota: Yes?
The Don: [sigh] Minnesota United, when should we schedule this for?
MU: Well, the stadium is gonna be ready weeks before this, but the weather guys suggest we push it back so we don't have another Snowpener. I mean, we're proud of our ability to handle snow up here, but we want this to be perfect in every way.
The Don: So when then?
MU: Well up here snow is always possible, but the best weather guys assure us if we wait until mid-April there's a less than 1% chance. So April 13 sounds good.
The Don: Done. Somebody email NYCFC.
[Lackey emails NYCFC]
NYCFC: OUT OF OFFICE: "As it's the close season we're travelling on holiday trailing a caravan on the motorway. Ta."

MU Social Media office last weekend:
MU Tweeter 1: We beat the Red Bulls. I'm so killing them. NY is black and blue!
MU Tweeter 2: You know we're opening Allianz against NYCFC next. Make it NY is black and BLUE so they know we're trolling them, too.
MU T1: Isn't that premature, rude, and tempting fate?
MU T2: You Minnesota Nice people are tiresome. What could go wrong. Here, give me that. [SEND TWEET]

We're gonna win.

Nope. Sports are no different. Plenty of sports teams have shown less fight when it’s painfully obvious their leader is a fraud and their season is spiraling out of control. This isn’t the Alamo where they’ve picked a proverbial hill to die on, they want to win, but they haven’t heaped so much pressure on themselves that it’s backfiring - the coach’s tactics suck and they know it and no amount of effort can overcome hat when facing prepared teams.Sports are different than a regular office job. Don't question the players' desire to win -- these guys want to win, they want to do the best they can. In fact I'd say that for some of these guys, they're playing worse because of the added pressure they're putting on themselves.
