Lol, almost sounds like they actually care ...Who says the players don’t read the forums???

Nah, looks like the same reaction I got from my 4yo the other night when I caught her awake in the hallway after bedtime - she saw me and ran back to her room.Lol, almost sounds like they actually care ...
Following his wife to judge his leisure time is, wow
Not sure if related to yesterday’s weather delays/cancellations to Minneapolis, but the first charter of the season is being used today. 3 left.
Unconfirmed, but I’m hearing we were granted an exception from MLS since we were forced into the charter due to weather events. Not sure if related to yesterday’s weather delays/cancellations to Minneapolis, but the first charter of the season is being used today. 3 left.

I worry your acknowledgment of these otherwise valid points, in and of itself, has triggered a variation on your point two. We're going to get our first win in this match. I base this on the confluence of two great rules that do not actually exist but they seem to come up often enough:
One
I think we have reached total capitulation among fans regarding Dome Torrent. Nobody is defending him: not here, Twitter, Reddit, podcasts, anywhere. The most positive thing you can find is someone still saying something like "I want to give him until ____ as a fair chance, but man my patience is wearing thin."
This means we're due for a switch in fortunes just to confuse everyone. It's like 2015: just when everyone finally gave up on making the playoffs, the team won 3 straight games and had people believing implausible but non-impossible scenarios, only to lose the last 3. I expect good results for the next 3-4 games now, causing many to question their thinking, before the final collapse sets in.
Two
I still think this Minnesota United tweet which I posted in the Week 6 thread is directed at both Red Bulls and us.
Premature trolling never goes unpunished. Especially since this Historic Home Opener is probably the game they want to win more than any other, and now it looks like a gimme.
QED, as a result, my conclusions are certain, and I am quite confident NYCFC wins on Saturday.
I worry your acknowledgment of these otherwise valid points, in and of itself, has triggered a variation on your point two.
And when I say worry, I mean hope. I want us to lose. And lose horribly.
Good lord. Who gives a shit if they give they give a shit?
They don’t have any decent instruction to give a shit about.
Just like there’s no decent reason for any of us to keep showing up. And why I won’t show up until at a minimum he’s out the door.
If I played for Dome Torrent, playing would be the last thing I’d do. Playing for a team without a plan is never a good idea.
I posit that we are legitimately a bad enough organization right now that we won't achieve any semblance of false winning streak triggering false hope.I understand your confusion. I do. But the second half of your post explains why my seeming overconfidence does not undermine Minnesota's true hubris. It's because I know that a win here does not help us. I know that a misleading win streak is an inevitable and necessary element of our misery with respect to Point 1. You want us to just lose, lose, lose so as to bring nearer the resolution of our ordeal. That won't happen. There will be a period of winning, just long enough to create false hope in some, prolong the despair of others, and generate disagreement, tension, and fights among supporters. It will cause those team officers who actually do care and pay attention to reconsider their decision that was just about to crystallize and delay the inevitable sacking of Dome.
This will happen, and I believe that we are ripe for it.
I guess I’m already taking this year’s ST spend as a sunk cost. As mgarbowski points out, I’m all in on whatever gets Dome out quickest. Open revolt is the only surefire way, since losing doesn’t seem to matter to anyone. We need to bring in Eden Hazard. Not to play, mind. Just because he seems really good at this sort of thing. This isn’t T Ball. I’m paying money and they’re professionals.
I think you may be right, but I’m amending my opinion as per intra above. No one in charge cares if we lose. We need some really embarrassing crap to go down. And then we’d need media who would report it. And more than 12 of us to care about it.I posit that we are legitimately a bad enough organization right now that we won't achieve any semblance of false winning streak triggering false hope.
I’ve been saying for a while that I want us to lose and do so on embarrassingly bad ways. The owners probably don’t intend to remove Dome and are fine with a lost season,I guess I’m already taking this year’s ST spend as a sunk cost. Oh my. I should stop. I’m triggering more despair in myself.
I'm a huge Trainspotting fan, but wouldn't it be more appropriate if CFG were heroin and the fans were Renton?I’ve been saying for a while that I want us to lose and do so on embarrassingly bad ways. The owners probably don’t intend to remove Dome and are fine with a lost season,
but with enough negative press comes problems for the league with the new TV deal being negotiated, and that’s the kicker to get changes to happen. This organization needs an intervention much like a family kidnapping their kid from the drug house and detoxing them on tomato soup in a locked room.
It’ll be painful medicine to swallow, with the devil baby of sunk costs and misery, but it’s the only legitimate way to change that doesn’t involve CFG glossing over the problem with non-adhesive bandages.
Probably multiple ways of interpreting it, and I’m open to all so long as the gist is understood.I'm a huge Trainspotting fan, but wouldn't it be more appropriate if CFG were heroin and the fans were Renton?
Ah interesting. Or even CFG (Renton) against Abu Dhabi United Group (heroin)?Probably multiple ways of interpreting it, and I’m open to all so long as the gist is understood.
Wrote that with the Club (team, season/record, Dome, CFG) as Renton enjoying the carefreeness of apathy & everything is fine (when not), and Dome’s/CFG’s attitude is the heroin.
Probably should have added the following from the Walking Dead as the only way to escape the madness of the situation is/are an arrow to the brain.
Sure.Ah interesting. Or even CFG (Renton) against Abu Dhabi United Group (heroin)?
So Renton makes a break for it with the loot (the goodwill / fans), which may necessitate betraying some friends (Reyna? Dome?) in order to escape the clutches of heroin?
