Crooks said they've been doing a lot of drilling in the final third. He said it as if it might be a new thing.
I think our probably has been getting the ball into the final third. We need to work on midfield transitioning.
From what I've read, it just sounds like Heber won't start. Which I don't think is all that unusual considering he just played his first game for us last Saturday and his last match before that was 12/8?
Also, sounds like Maxi should be back in some capacity as well. So perhaps none of those three guys in the starting XI, but I get the sense that both Maxi and Heber will be available at the least (not sure yet what to make of Mitrita).

Also if note, MNU tried to get Liam Gallagher to fly over and play Wonderwall for the opener. He couldn't make it, but it would have been awkwardly surreal to see one of Man City's biggest fans playing Man City's song to open up MNU's new stadium against Man City's sister club/farm team with their former assistant coach on the sideline.

If it’s a snow match, like literally accumulating snow during the game, I’d seriously consider playing the youth whom should have a higher engine for chasing and hawking down balls in conditions that will prove difficult and tiring from a footing perspective. The ball will not bounce like normal and will skip faster across the snow. Get Scally and Cavani minutes. It’s going to be a fast/physical performance and likely shots/scrums in the box for loose balls.
I also would not play Mata as he’s injury prone - hello loose footing sliding into a split and torn hamstring - and there’s going to be a need for a more physical presence for loose balls in the box and being crossed - this appears to be more a game suited to Sweat.
And sit Ofori. The ball needs to go forward. If ever there was a time for a 7’ player marshaling the midfield and attacking the goal, it’s now, so Parks’ number needs to be called.
I think they are overstating the snowiness. It is snowing now and that may last through tomorrow, but Saturday will be clear and cold.

Sports are different than a regular office job. Don't question the players' desire to win -- these guys want to win, they want to do the best they can. In fact I'd say that for some of these guys, they're playing worse because of the added pressure they're putting on themselves.
Nope. Sports are no different. Plenty of sports teams have shown less fight when it’s painfully obvious their leader is a fraud and their season is spiraling out of control. This isn’t the Alamo where they’ve picked a proverbial hill to die on, they want to win, but they haven’t heaped so much pressure on themselves that it’s backfiring - the coach’s tactics suck and they know it and no amount of effort can overcome hat when facing prepared teams.
