Center Back Suggestions

Hi all... I'm so psyched about this team... this is my first post on here and I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing

Now let's get back to talking about real Centerbacks for NYC.

We discussed current MLSers like Borchers and Opara. Who else is out there that you like? I'm personally of the belief that you don't use DPs on GK and defenders. There seems to be enough MLS quality out there, even if in other leagues.

possible pick ups per mls team; along with salary.

chicago -
1) Soumare- 330,000
2) Patric Ianni - 150,000

chivas-
1) Bobby Burling- 115,000
2) bocanegra- 330,000- doubt chivas lets him go.
3) jean Baptiste- HERE is a trade I can see happening. from brooklyn new york. He played at Uconn. Guy is good in the air. Id love to see him here. and for 80,000 salary. not bad.

colorado
1) Nathan sturgis- 114,000. He is very well traveled, having spent time at 6 diff mls teams.
2) Wynne- I prefery him at rb.
3) Aggbossoumonde- Another player, as I said before, that I can see coming here.

columbus crew
1) only player id grab is parkhurst but that is highly unlikely.

fc dallas
- this team has a lot of depth in the center back position, but if George John leaves for Europe that might change. If he stays, id try and take a shot at
1) Walker Zimmerman- (GA)
if not, we could possibley go for
2) Stephen Keel- Had a strong season at Rb couple seasons back. Big locker room favorite. and at just a 50,000 k cap hit, who can complain? great player for depth.

Don't see us signing matt hedges, that guy is a beast.

DC united
1) could possibly go for rookie Birnbaum. I dont see us landing boswell or sean franklin. Birnbaum would be a 90 k cap hit.

Houston Dynamo
1) Eric Brunner- tall defender. Decent. Id sign him as back up, but I dont think he is starting quality. 130 k cap hit.

Kansas city
with collin and besler as the starting two, and rookie palmer brown proving his worth. opara could very well be a steal.
1) Ike opara. - had had injury problems, but great defender. 100 k cap hit

la galaxy
1) tommy meyer- only a 50 k cap hit. Could be a steal.

montreal-
Wouldn't take any of their defenders

New england revolution
1) Darrius Barnes- underrated centerback. 80 k cap hit
2) AJ soares- lef footed centerback with good passing out of the back. Leadership quality- 160 k cap hit
3) Farrel- believe he plays RB in New england but can play CB as well. 100 k cap hit

RB-
dont see us landing any of their center backs. Would love to see matt miazga here.

Philadelphia -

1) would be tough to get him, but okugo would be an awesome pick up. 150 k cap hit.

Portland-
1) I think we can get bryan gallego on loan.

Salt lake-
1) nat borchers 230 k. Part of a proven, winning, mls defense. Would love him here.

Seattle-
1) jalil Anibaba- Could deff see this. he is a tough CB. 160 k cap hit.

san jose-

only cb id take is clarence goodson, and doubt we could land him. Plus he is a huge cap hit.

vancouver and toronto fc...no thanks.

How about former RSL defender Rauwshan McKenzie? He's currently a backup CB in Portland, probably won't be protected.
