I did too. Looking forward to seeing some of ya'll there. We should do an early meet up there or nearby.

Saw this. Checked my email. RSVP'd. Didn't put a question down in the form, will be formulating them now.

Two good results this week will make this a smoother event.

Any guesses on the player that will show up. I'm thinking Harrison, Vieria will have to escort him into the bar.

I don't think PV will be there. Claudio, Prez Jon and a player. As for the player, I suspect it will be SOTL.

Damn. I didn't even read the email properly. What should I ask Claudio? What can he answer with a real answer? SOTL?

When do the contracts of Villa, Pirlo and Lampard expire? It's a pretty straightforward answer but there's disputed dates out there for all of them. We can have three DP slots open this year or none until next. It's not a tough question and one that I think can help us get an idea of what to expect in the offseason.

RSVP'd as well. Unfortunately I think it'll be hard to get a straight answer out of Claudio, and while I don't want to come out wild and crazy at them, I also don't want to lob them a softball. Probably something about a more diversified DP approach (or lack-thereof).

Go back and read the Queens event thread. There was a good mix of questions. Some direct, some non-tough but smart and fun. Plus a few dumb ones. I thought Patricof and PV were much more direct than we could have hoped for.

Agreed. I think it would be interesting to know what CR thinks is the optimal strategy for signing future designated players. It gets you the same answer (which may, in any event, not be much of an answer), without framing it in a confrontational or negative way such as "The Lampard signing was likely one of the worst signings in organized sports history, what are you going to do to make sure to don't screw the pooch as hard the next time?"

Got my invite, disappointed with the Reyna for PV swap. Mostly because I'm a long time Arsenal fan but I also don't think CR will add much to the discussion. Comments from PV interest me because he plays such a big role in tactics. I think CR is essentially a CFG puppet and won't offer much more than the typical canned answers. I also think he's likely to be the one taking the fall this year if we finish below expectations so even if he does have some say it could be ending shortly.

Ethan White will be attending the event. I'd say he's a neutral mentality player.

Whether or not I go may depend on what happens tomorrow. Tomorrow's result will likely determine whether the event is more shit fest or love fest. I do not enjoy shit fests.

But the excitement is always being in the eye of the storm! I missed the Brooklyn edition and likely will attend this one as a +1..... still trying to figure out what to ask without slinging shade - at this point, every question leads back to shade.

The Queens event did not turn into a shitfest despite being days after the Red Bull Wedding. Hard to see how this could be worse.

If I end up not making it, you can also take my slot, or if I do make it be my p1 if you need it.

Thanks! But going with my buddy that has seats next to mine.

I was too late at attempting to RSVP, had already filled up so I won't be able to make it.
