I'm super surprised that Payet wasn't called up, unless the injury which forced him out of the EL final is worse than it seemed. Also, Koscielny went down (in a different EL match vs. Atleti), but he's old and maybe their defense doesn't need him?

Koscielny will be out for six months after surgery on a ruptured Achilles tendon, so I'd say he can't do much for their defense.
