At least wingert got to play in front of the hometown.

Can Tommy play on the right? Had been wondering about that today.Ready for drastic tactical changes, specifically at home. Johansen in at keeper.
Away: Possession-based; controlled movement forward; wings tuck in and under. Similar to what we are doing without as much of a high press due to Lampard and Pirlo on the field at the same time.
Home: Quick movement forward; long passes; pressure high. Need a target man for this, time to play to Poku's strengths.
Something like this anyway. Could definitely play around with this midfield and find the best combo. But at home or against high pressing teams, we need to stop trying to play from the back and bring on a target man upfront - Poku seems perfect to me.

Unless he can't turn left....I don't see why not. He plays winger like an attacking midfielder. Doesn't cross the ball much or anything, so it shouldn't matter which side he is on.
Will your team build out of the back?I'm coaching a U-11 team at a tournament this weekend. We are going 3-2-1-1.
This gives us no width, but our tech coach is not good and the kids have no concept of width anyway.
I think this formation will work because one of our fastest and strongest midfielders likes to break away with the ball, put his head down and bomb it forward. Usually it goes harmlessly to the GK. By putting him back a bit I think he may link up with the striker more effectively.
My son will be behind the striker. His head is on a swivel and he is a great passer. I expect we'll do some Route 1 scoring in these games.
Vieira definitely doesn't have A.D.D. When it comes to tactics... I just can't imagine what he sees in practice that makes him think we can pull it off in games - perhaps that the 1st team is playing the 2nd team which isn't a fair reflection of how'd they do against and amped-up opponent?!?http://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2016/05/27/nycfc-coach-patrick-vieira-has-solution-teams-home-woes
Vieira is really "changing" things up after the loss...

I'm with you here on this one. Regarding Bravo/Iraola, I think I prefer Iraola there. So when we are at full strength here is what I would like to see Vieira put on the field including subs and dependent if Mix/Pirlo is having the better game that day and see if this works.
I don't think Saunders is going anywhere.
Still debating how to work the Bravo/Iraola situation. I liked what I've seen from Iraola.

I think Iraola makes Pirlo better, Bravo plays better pure defense. If it were me I would play Iraola and Pirlo, then sub on Bravo to hold a lead.I'm with you here on this one. Regarding Bravo/Iraola, I think I prefer Iraola there.

I'm over Hernandez.... he's dropped back to earth after a few stellar performances. I want to see the Mena we saw last year get a chance again.
