I'll take the overI think 20 is a good O/U line.
At 20 I also probably take over, but not with high confidence. At 22 I'd take under.I'll take the over
Cleaned up thread. Lampard is fit. There's no reason to risk him. Why would you risk him in preseason. The key is he's not injured.
My 20 O/U line was based on league season games only. When you also have to guess how many games we play in other contests, it's beyond my interest in wanting to calibrate. We can play a maximum of 45 games if we get a 3-6 seed in the playoffs and reach the MLS Cup final as well as go to the US Open Cup final. We're playing a minimum of 35 games, 34 MLS regular season and 1 Open Cup. I'll take the over.
How about whether Lamps can go 10 goals/10 assists?
By that logic

I don't think Lampard is in their plans to start every single game. PV is stuck in the sense he was handed Lampard. A player signed to sell tickets, with lots of talent I must say but probably not someone he'd prefer in the lineup.By that logic Pirlo and Villa should not be playing either then. Why only rest Lampard? Is he more fragile? Also how are we sure he is fit? He disappeared from training photos for a while and reports have started that he does have some type of injury that they ware working to get him back from in time for the opener.
Why are we wasting money..Well it isn't at all logical to begin with.
Like gbservis just said. Why is it ok to risk Villa and/or Pirlo? Your opinion is yours, but doesn't make sense. Pirlo is no youngster and has no trouble playing. Why are we wasting money and a DP spot on someone that is made of glass then? I was hoping he wasn't playing cause he was going to be transferred out..but unfortunately you are probably right....he's too fragile to compete anymore at a high level...or he's hurt. Pick your poison.

Do recall that following the FGCU game. The answer is that Lamps picked up an injury in training. It was not disclosed what it was, and it doesn't appear to have been too serious, but it definitely has been reported/stated, including by NYCFCfan that it appears to have been a knock, not simply a fitness issue.

What do you propose we do? Flip a magical switch and go back in time? It's not possible.
He's here. He's part of the team for another year and you utilize him as best fit.
When he's healthy he's a great player and he showed that at City last year by scoring goals and helping them out. Hopefully us playing a similar style will do the same to spark his goal scoring ability. He impressed me at FGCU by getting in the box and creating chances. That's what we need more of and we lacked last year.
Would it be the first time an MLS team used its magic buyout on a DP?What do you propose we do?
6 goals, 18 crossbars
I wasn't aware that it was as he did play at FGCU and did not leave due to injury. Just read the Glenn Crooks article that stated he'll be ready to train next week and he did take a knock. Thanks NYCFC for announcing that (they didn't).You were the one saying it wasn't injury related. We have a lot of new players, a new coach, looks like a new formation, new tactics...so I don't know, maybe I'd like our 6 million dollar player to participate if he can. If he is injured, then that's obviously a different story, you rest him...but that is not what you said Dan.
Don't hold your breath waiting for them to announce anything related to fitness.I wasn't aware that it was as he did play at FGCU and did not leave due to injury. Also buying him out is not an option. You're pissing away money to spend just as much if not more on another DP.
