It depends on what CFG want. They might have already determined this season is a wash since we can’t even sell tickets. Could be that we’re stuck with him for the year.

He played 22 minutes in our match against Philly and was just so, so uninspiring.Personally, I feel for Zelalem. His half hour in one of our first games wasn't bad IMHO, and this extended absence by Maxi would have been his chance to make himself useful. If he has any qualities to be useful. But now we'll never know. And it's a lost chance for the team also because if it's not Zelalem then there's nobody to play a passable 10 role in Maxi's absence.

Analysis Evolved put together a great G+ value and Zelalem was third worst on the team for the match.
“I think I’m a very attacking coach, thinking always to score goals. I’d rather win 5-4, than 1-0... but 1-0 is good as well. I think it’s important to cause the opponent problems; getting the overload from when you play from the back is important, and then take advantage of that, so you play three against two, two against one, on the sides, getting out the crosses, getting people inside the box. Also when we lose the ball, we must have a good transition; to win the ball straight back away when we have the opportunity to do that. We want to have the ball as much as possible, but also try to be direct when we have opportunities.”
re: Deila -- I'm still unsure about how much of it is that we are incoherent without Maxi to glue the pieces together and how much of it is Deila or tactics. Not that I'm inspired so far. I remember going to the TR meet-and-greet when he was first signed and what we've seen so far doesn't seem like what he advertised at all. Remember this Ronny Deila?
re: Zelalem -- I know there's debate about what midfield role he plays exactly, but I don't think he's a #10 and we don't need another deep lying midfielder, especially not when we're not playing the double pivot that Dome sometimes played. But then we have both a roster that is one of the most consistent over 2-3 seasons with now our third coach trying to do something else. And I think the gap from Dome to Deila is much bigger than Veira to Dome
On the other hand, it also shows that they really are committed. They're trying to make it feel like home, even when we can't be at Yankee Stadium, and even when we are forced to play in RBA. Why must it be in such a negative tone?So they've dressed RBA to look like it's actually our home.

This is, like, really dangling the carrot for us. "SEE WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE? SEE??"
