Home game vs Houston being moved to Hartford, CT

This is why it would be helpful for the team to give us some info so we could be somewhat more specific when we reach out. What are we supposed to tell our reps with what we know? Excuse me but I'm a big fan of NYCFC would you please help support the building of a stadium of unknown size for the team at some point I have no idea when, on some site somewhere in the city? Can I count on your support?
DING DING DING.

Help us help you!

Every city council member has, by tradition, veto power over projects like this within their district. So if you live in a district with a plausible location, go ahead. Otherwise you're better off directing your pleas to the mayor.

I'm stoked to see our boys play in a stadium that is allegedly better for viewing soccer, amongst fans who love this team so irrationally that they're willing to make the trek.

I'm rationalizing this as a combination of the best things about away days and the best things about home games. A new stadium and environment, but filled with people who are nuts about the club despite this being a pretty massive inconvenience. It's tempting to find people to blame when things don't go our way. But this is a good opportunity for supporters and club to work together to make the best of a shitty situation.

... Half time stadium announcement?

The ultimate bamboozle.

hahaha madness, the stadium will be more than 50% empty

After being in this thread all evening I don't think there'd be any significant difference to what's been said if they'd announced we'd be playing a home game in Red Bull Arena. I can't see us on the forum being OK with that. Can you imagine if the Red Bulls had some sort of electrical problem, say, and played a home game in Yankee Stadium? We'd never let them hear the end of it. There's no way we can play a home game in their building.

Icahn stadium, Fordham, Columbia, any of those would have been better options and all within the 5 boroughs.

Is there a decent TV setup there? Or can we expect IMG style shaky cell phone stream. With a random conversation in the background. I'll pay $20 for that privilege!

Yeah, let's not forget all the FO bullshit we've been fed. Ain't just fat frank, kreis, DPs, Mix, stadium garbage and whatever else I can't remember right now. Didn't we have a thread with a list? Can we add this to that list?? I want a re-vote.

They televise USMNT games there so it can't be that bad.......

this is awesome!

Hartford (if Renstchlater field) is a great place to see a soccer game. Much better than YS tbh. Great sight lines

My Dear Tom of course you will think "Its great place to see a soccer game" . "great sight and all such Kumbaya feelings because its right in your backyard . :);):);):). It would have been a nice to visit your home, regretfully I have to say no, I will not be able to go. However, I am counting on You to keep us posted however how the attendance goes.
