I asked that earlier in this thread, but no one responded. I know Lion mentioned something about Shake Shack being closed, but don't know where he got that information from. I would love to have a list of what will or will not be open.
Shake Shack and Blue Smoke will be open. I asked at Saturday's watch party in Astoria and the ticket rep running the event just emailed back to confirm. If NYCFC SpiderMan's tweet from a few days ago is the source for Shake Shack being closed, it's clear he was joking later in that thread.

The rep had also mentioned the 19,000-plus capacity at Citi, but I didn't want to skew the "guess the attendance" thread.

And yet they went to Newark. Hope they hit awful traffic to wherever they’re going.

If they're staying at the NYCFC affiliated team hotel, Grand Hyatt, it would make a lot of sense if they took the LIRR or 7 train to the match tomorrow to avoid any traffic. Because it's literally underneath the hotel.

imagine getting on the LIRR or the 7 in the car full of TFC players decked out in NYCFC gear.. lol.

watching the previews - all the plane noise is really distracting. i know that can't be helped but hope it doesn't take away from the atmosphere. i don't remember it much from the columbus game in 2017 so i would think it's not really a factor.

planes fly over YS all the time, granted i believe its much higher but like you i didnt notice it last time, but i was in 103 under the 300 level seats so maybe it was already less noise to start.

Why would they be in NYCFC gear?

i meant YOU as the fan getting on the train with TFC.

Your sentence structure made it quite unclear. I would have written it: Imagine getting on the LIRR or the 7 decked out in NYCFC gear in a car full of TFC players.

Seems crazy to think they can't get more than 20k considering they get over that amount for the Columbus game back in '17
Probably comes down to security and staffing. Once they open additional areas, they have to staff up and there’s zero guarantee those open sections will fill.

What’s interesting, is that on the SITC podcast, Abramowitz noted that he heard that ticket sales were going really well and that there should be over 20k at the game. Crooks didn’t provide any correction whatsoever.

Just out of curiosity, is anybody on any Mets email lists? Did you get anything about this game via them?
