There's another way of looking at that lineup. View it as a 4-1-4-1. Then you have this:

Just look at that midfield line.

That would just make sense though. We aren't in the business of sense. It's the weird-wild-wacky-Kreis-world and we are all just living in it.

I say this as someone who is not on the witch hunt to have Kreis fired.

Bet we see the same lineup as Wednesday except Villa in for Mullins. We could play Villa on the left side if we run our normal 4-2-3-1 but play him more up as a true LW.

When Kreis changes the lineup, he's wild and wacky wannabe coach. When he doesn't change the lineup, he's not good enough coach to shape our team around our players.

As much as I love this lineup, and think it would be awesome to see on the field, is there not a worry of exposing Wingert if Villa is playing forward? It puts a lot of defensive responsibilities on Villa. And while I think he has the legs for the running, would we want that?
