If they play him they risk aggravating his knee injury. Up to them what's more important- home field without their biggest weapon who has been plundering defenses' souls, or resting him and risk playing an away game or two, but having that lethal striker weapon for those away matches. If they play him, I swear to god

To be fair it is a big question at this point in the season. Atlanta is a great team at home (11-2-3) and eh away (6-9-0).
P.S. After seeing their away record, adam immediately came to mind. If only a team could forfeit stats for their remaining two away games to hold that record... *giggles childishly*
Giving Scally his debut, in our biggest game of the year, after being out injured all season, and against one of the most talented attacking teams in the league....it just sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. Miller is clearly crap, but unless you've got a truly generational talent on your hands, I just don't think it's the right moment to blood a 17 year old.
It is UN week, that will def do some damage to travel times in Midtown and east side...
i can confirm midtown is full of road blocks, barricades and tons of police/secret service cars and diplomat vehicles. it was a mad house just walking around midtown this evening. can't imagine it being much different tomorrow evening. my guess is they'd leave very early to get to the game on time tomorrow.
Their bus may get a police escort if they’re smart. I know i had to argue with a cop for a few minutes to let me into 39th st between 2nd and 3rd just to get into the garage I paid for. It’s all a giant clusterfuck.
Or maybe he saw Miller nutmeg himself and give away what should have been a penalty and thinks the bar is fairly low...Giving Scally his debut, in our biggest game of the year, after being out injured all season, and against one of the most talented attacking teams in the league....it just sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. injury report confirms barco and josef are OUT.
though injury reports have been known to lie, the fact that they aren't listed as questionable seems pretty certain that they won't play.
EDIT:
anybody else looking to load up on merch tonight? 50% off all adidas and mitchel & ness products except for the 2019 primary kit. seems like amazing deals to me! I'll be looking to pick up some things for sure. Gonna try to get there early.
What injury report are you looking at? I can't find one on Atlanta United's website. And MLSsoccer.com has him as questionable
- Injury Report:
- OUT: Brek Shea (D) - knee injury
- QUESTIONABLE: Ezequiel Barco (M) - leg injury
- QUESTIONABLE: Josef Martinez (F) - leg injury
- Suspended: None
- Suspended after next caution: Mo Adams (M), Eric Remedi (M)
- International duty: None
It says last updated yesterday. What old injury report would have listed Josef as "Out"?That's an old report and not citing the most recent information. MLSsoccer.com is crap at updating news. Look at the Disciplinary Report. It's 12 days old.
