Let see: (1) NYCFC 1st season in MLS, (2) Pick up a couple of injured MLS players to begin a roster along with ONE DP, (3) Uitlized MLS draft process to pick 10 players (expected to fit into his 4-4-2 diamond approach) not protected by their MLS clubs (note: clubs protect 10 players, notably their most valued starters and potential "younger" players whom they deem have a very bright future), (4) NYCFC then brings in mid-season, multiple foreign players including TWO DPs who don't really fit into the 4-4-2 diamond offense/defense which forces Kreis to change the field dynamics to 4-2-3-1. (5) Then at mid-season, we add up to FIVE new faces on the playing field and Kreis is expected to get "winning results" week-after-week??? Soccer's not a static sport, it's necessitates "team flow" and that demands players learning each others skill attributes, athletic abilities, etc....and obviously CFG thought they were getting one of the top managers in all of MLS or they wouldn't have handed him $1 Million and the keys to the Camaro so to speak.
Upper Management blames Kreis for much more than not making the playoffs - they said he didn't create an environment/foundation for success going forward.Let see: (1) NYCFC 1st season in MLS, (2) Pick up a couple of injured MLS players to begin a roster along with ONE DP, (3) Uitlized MLS draft process to pick 10 players (expected to fit into his 4-4-2 diamond approach) not protected by their MLS clubs (note: clubs protect 10 players, notably their most valued starters and potential "younger" players whom they deem have a very bright future), (4) NYCFC then brings in mid-season, multiple foreign players including TWO DPs who don't really fit into the 4-4-2 diamond offense/defense which forces Kreis to change the field dynamics to 4-2-3-1. ONE SEASON…and upper management blames Kreis for not making the playoffs? How many coaches in any sport could have created a "winner" under these circumstances in their 1st year of existence?
Who on here that is not a obvious troll believe jk is the best manager in mls?

Dear god. Haven't we done this exchange 1000 times already on this thread?Let see: (1) NYCFC 1st season in MLS, (2) Pick up a couple of injured MLS players to begin a roster along with ONE DP, (3) Uitlized MLS draft process to pick 10 players (expected to fit into his 4-4-2 diamond approach) not protected by their MLS clubs (note: clubs protect 10 players, notably their most valued starters and potential "younger" players whom they deem have a very bright future), (4) NYCFC then brings in mid-season, multiple foreign players including TWO DPs who don't really fit into the 4-4-2 diamond offense/defense which forces Kreis to change the field dynamics to 4-2-3-1. I would strangle a turkey to death than get into this argument against but Nikita never said JK was the best coach ever. You can argue against his firing and not elevate him to deity-like status.apparently Nikita does
Kjbert was a little hyperbolic. Top manager is not the same as god amongst men.The amount of vehement protestation on this forum suggested some posters (obvious trolls or not) held him in such high regard. Otherwise those protests would have not made sense. One only strongly objects to his firing if s/he considers him a top notch manager, a 90 percentile or above manager.
Very true. But MLS pundits couldn't gush enough about how talented JK was when it was first announced he was hired as coach & throughout the year before the first kickoff. I don't think they ever used the term God Amongst Men, but reading between the lines they were saying he was the best thing since sliced bread because of his vast knowledge of MLS and how the league functioned.Kjbert was a little hyperbolic. Top manager is not the same as god amongst men.
My guess is Atlanta. Though maybe LAFC if he prefers life out West but I can't imagine he would want to step away for two years. He's already rumored in pretty much every open job and some that arent. I would be surprised if he doesn't have an mls head coaching job by the end of 2016 as long as no one on this forum secretly is also an mls team president.
Yes, deity-like status is reserved only for the all-knowing, all-seeing, benevolent, infallible CFG.I would strangle a turkey to death than get into this argument against but Nikita never said JK was the best coach ever. You can argue against his firing and not elevate him to deity-like status.
I would be semi surprised if he goes to another expansion team but lets be honest, not every MLS ownership group is CFG. And Kreis will want to be back in the league. My guess is Atlanta. Though maybe LAFC if he prefers life out West but I can't imagine he would want to step away for two years.
He has a family and he doesn't like moving them constantly. He said that was a hard thing for him leaving RSL to come to NY so I'm sure he'll be more selective in picking his next job.
Meh, just read that thread and after losing 90secs of my life that I'll never see again, it's painfully clear again that reddit is a bunch of clowns with not an original thought in their heads. The big comments were that the consensus still couldn't believe he was let go and if he wants a job he'll get one..... obviously the joker must've posted before Chicago thanked him for dropping by.https://www.reddit.com/r/MLS/comments/3ucjbp/will_jason_kreis_have_an_mls_manager_job_by_the/
Posted a thread on r/mls if you guys are interested in what the MLS community thinks.
Haha. We must have a special collection of geniuses that know how to argue with intellect, logic, and reason instead of personal attacks.Meh, just read that thread and after losing 90secs of my life that I'll never see again, it's painfully clear again that reddit is a bunch of clowns with not an original thought in their heads. There you go, nobody else needs to waste their time there.....
edit: And not sorry DV posted it, as any insight can be good, just frustrated reddit is such a black hole for intellect.....
Come on, we are the crème de la crème of the US soccer fans here on this forum. Dare anyone challenge thatHaha. We must have a special collection of geniuses that know how to argue with intellect, logic, and reason instead of personal attacks.
It's not so much that I'd argue any one of us are geniuses, but the majority of those that partake in this forum seem to have rational thoughts that are backed with examples, facts, and/or citations. Right or wrong - whichever side of the discussion somebody is on - just back it up (as most do) and a level of respect & discourse is earned. This isn't to say that everything on this site furthers the greater intellect and knowledge base of our collective view of the club, because there's a ton of wit and quips that help past time - I know I'm very much guilty of planting those and only hope they help the banter....Come on, we are the crème de la crème of the US soccer fans here on this forum. I can tell you don't really read the MLS subreddit. Sub quality varys. Only trolls really are NASL and cosmos fans. But fuck those guys they don't know shit .It's not so much that I'd argue any one of us are geniuses, but the majority of those that partake in this forum seem to have rational thoughts that are backed with examples, facts, and/or citations. Whereas Reddit is the wild, wild west of postings.... say whatever the hell you want without grounding it and damn those that don't agree with you by calling them names and slamming their intellect. Maturity that hasn't even hit the level 'tweeners possess. Trolling though has become a rampant art form.
