MLS - April 12 - Philadelphia (CF)

I’m here. I’m missing at least 3 games for travel and don’t want to skip others without need. Plus I love Citi games.
The Metro Grill (Citi legends alt) is empty.
Satisfying. Not much to brag about as post Gazdag Union are spoon contenders but we took care of biz. Our roster is still thinner than a couture model.

If I were Haak’s agent I’d be advising him to push for more CB minutes. I think he has a much better shot at MNT or Europe there than at CM. Could be a Walker Zimmerman with ball skills if he committed to the bit.

Good but not great. That Martins mistake was only nullified by a heroic Haak body block. Improving but not where we need to be…

Julian playing the 10 when Maxi was subbed is an interesting thing to track going forward.

Rain games are just more fun.

Rain games are more fun when it's at least 70 degrees.

Rain games in 40 degrees and wind are miserable. You couldn't have paid me to go tonight, but glad you had fun lol

Just watched the goal, and my thought is that Thiago Martins has many imperfections, but damn he runs his ass off when someone even threatens to get behind him, which you can't say about Nathan Harriel.

Felt like Julian and Ojeda both took some baby steps forward tonight. I was cringing when Julian went on for Maxi but all well that ends well. I was disappointed they didn’t let him have a go on that free kick.

Finally thawing after being on the train for 45 minutes.

Good win. Freese did a job today. Haak and Shore also put in solid shifts. We had multiple opportunities in the first half but couldn't get it done. Thank Dog, Alonso outsmarted the keeper off that great pass from Illenić.

We still need some midfield and attacking talent, because we almost completely gave up possession when Maxi went out.

Beating Philly always feels extra satisfying.
