MLS - April 19 - New England (Away)

if i had to blame someone for the goals, that someone would be martins. first goal, he was ball watching and did not follow campana's run. when he realized the danger, it was already too late. second goal, ball watching but not attacking the ball. he's one of the taller players on the team. he needs to attack the ball when defending corners, not just watch it . It was not that far over his head. A DP professional should be able to read the flight of the ball and adjust so he can at least get something on the header to flick it out of danger.

Otherwise, no parks no party. he's such an important piece of our midfield.

shitty fake grass is shitty.

but hey, at least the new jersey team lost too?

I’ve defended Martins a lot but on the first one he was ball watching. On the second he was triple teamed but IMHO failed to organize the defense. Which was why he was triple teamed.

I also revoke my defense of Martins the other week when he and Matty got bollixed up, after Pascal weighed in and said it should have been hoofed. With that said, ever since, Matty has looked even more spooked on the ball. Not good.

Did not like removing Agu instead of Bakrar at the half. He did some decent work. I want him to cut center and unleash. He did it once before the half and I wish he’d had a shot at doing It again.

Right now only Matty, Haak, Mitja, Keaton, Shore and Alonso seem to be playing at expected level. And worst of all, we are boring.

just watched martins's press conference and wtf? he's no captain. he's not a DP level player. his answers were non-answers and seemed more annoyed he was there than anything. almost seemed like he was blaming everyone else.

the sooner we get rid of him, the better.

Haak can move to the right and grow as a CB and we can get a solid left footed CB to pair with him for years to come.

Bad body language. And he didn't hold himself accountable before talking about the team. It sounded a lot like, "Yeah, we stink, but not me."

I've stuck up for Thiago a lot over the last couple years, but I can't stick up for him if he's ... stuck up.

He has always been that way. He consistently blames his teammates for his mistakes in very visible ways on the pitch. He rarely speaks to the ref. Never seems to be communicating or leading the team on the pitch beyond occasional defensive organizing, which are just normal CB duties. Never understood what he did to earn the arm band. Parks or Maxi should have that arm band, not the overpaid CB who blames everyone else for his mistakes.

It should absolutely be Keaton or Maxi (my choice would be Keaton).
