MLS Cup Playoffs - November 23 - Philadelphia (Away)

Would be a nightmare to have to drive through rush hour New York and Philadelphia to get there. It better not be.
NY yes, Philly no. You bypass Philly on the Jersey side of the river and cross a bridge next to the stadium. I don't think there's too many commuters working around Cherry Hill and living west of Philadelphia to mess up the last leg of the trip. But avoiding Friday afternoon/evening NYC traffic is reason enough to prefer Sat or Sun.

I can imagine. I know our section is right next to the home supporters which is not very intelligent. I've never done an away game so figure now's as good a time as any.

I've gone to a couple of games by myself and never had an issue but I do usually cover any nycfc stuff I have on when I head to the car after the game. As others have said the stadium is pretty meh, and the traffic flow to and from the bathrooms and concessions at halftime is terrible.

Depending on the day and time of the game I may try to go. Not sure if they will do it again but TR had a nice tailgate before the 2021 match. Got to meet Shwafta in person at that game.

Edit: removed bad info about section from 2021.

Normal away section is next to their supporters section but for the game in 2021 they changed the away section to 113. Not sure if that was a one time thing or if they will do that again this year. I couldn't get tickets with the third rail so I sat in 112. I was respectful and Unions fans around me were fine.

That can't be right. It's always been 133. I was in 133 with the traveling supporters in 2021.

It's 133 again this year.

You are right my memory is playing tricks on me. No idea how I mixed that up. I must have been in 133 then for that game in 2021.

Now I'm trying to figure out why I thought they switched it, I wonder if they did that at another game I went to? I know in one game I went to back in the Villa days there was some kind of incident with supporters throwing stuff at each other. Maybe they switched the section for a while after that but it was back to normal in 2021 or maybe I just dreamed it.

I went to a game there in 2016 with a couple of no longer active forum members. We didn't sit with away supporters but were close. Things were thrown. I did not witness directly but the consensus was it probably came from our side first after mutual verbal instigation.

Be a City Member, enter the lottery, and hope. The Third Rail's allotment of 90 tickets sold out within 3 minutes.

Suggest buying in 133 or 132 on resale markets or on the Union website.
Did TR use FCFS or their points system?

You’d still hit that traffic south of the city with all the commuters to delaware

Broadcast 7:30, Kickoff 7:55

Won’t get back to the city by until 1:30 am at the earliest

Wifi on the plane? If so, steam it either on Apple TV or FS1!
Depends! That might be during the landing portion so the wifi would go off at some point.

The "arrival" is called for 9 which means that it'll probably landing at like 8:30. (Either way that might actually be good too)
