Charlotte FC vs. New York City FC

Bank of America Stadium

rumor is that if there is a game 3 it will be at 12 pm Friday because of a Panthers game that weekend.

I never want to hear a peep from anyone in Carolina ever again about the ny stadium situation. They play on turf in a NFL stadium.

yes it will be Friday but at noon? on a Friday? they really smoked charlotte attendance wise if that happens.

I made mention of this on another thread. I haven't been able to confirm anything yet. I'm guessing they need the time to convert the field, hence the noon kick off.

I also posted this question to Roberto Abramowitz on Reddit and Glenn Crooks on Twitter, but haven't had any sort of reply from either.

We must win game 2 to avoid a stupid 12 pm et kickoff in Charlotte. Happy to delete this thread when that happens.

EDIT: The NYCFC app has the match scheduled for 12 pm

they'll still announce a "packed house" of 30K+ like they did last night haha

in a way it sucks for them, they do have good fanbase but rain/tuesday/ 6:45 kick off did them no favors. still it looked kinda 23K ish in attendance so not terrible

if oniell and gray get yellows this game, they will be suspended for the conf. semis (if we make it there).

hope jansen goes all out attack this game and the boys are up to it. started this season having zero hope for this team to win anything but now that there is a slight glimmer, i find myself all aboard the "we can win MLS cup" train.

I'm holding off on that starting time. About halfway through the 1st half the announcer said Friday night. Now maybe that could have been a slip of the tongue, but a noon start would blow.

A 12pm game on a Friday would be absolutely insane. It would be hypocritical from this league that never gives us a break on our stadium situation. If the only time Charlotte can host the game is noon, MLS should move the game. No one will be in the stands, no one will be able to watch on (TV), and it's a deciding game in a playoff series! Play it in Raleigh or Durham. Play it in Nashville. Find a place to play it when it can be Friday night.

I guarantee if the show was on the other foot, we'd be moving to Sports Illustrated Stadium.
