MLS - July 3 - Toronto (YS)

Princeton always fights through more expensive competition. He’s a very solid piece. Still think Nick should have tried him up top in the post-Taty drought.
I think he played at the 10 in college, yes? In any event, he does more with what he has than just about anyone in the league. Baller.

Good win. Very impressed with Wolf lately. Ilenić was also terrific.

Did we make a tactical change late in the first half or did TFC just tire out? It went from them dominating possession at roughly 75 percent with a heavy press to us managing things as per usual.

Romero has proven himself nicely as a backup. I feel even better about the keeper position.

He was great but I gotta give it to Wolf. Scored, and put on absolute highlight reel stuff on the O’Toole goal. Plus stripped the ball cleanly on at least 2-3 occasions on defense. He has really stepped up this year.
I’ll allow it

As soon as Fernandez came on I was like "sigh"

Our front three were pretty darn good when they had the ball tonight, compared to what I usually see of them anyway.

That wolf+O'Toole goal was awesome!!!! We were sitting right next to it and it was such a great play.

Big 3 points, because the next 4 matches are absolutely brutal.
Dallas is ass at home his year, and SKC ain’t much better.
We’re crap away so no promises, but if we’re going to win some road games, it really should start there.

Just watched the game:
  • Romero is looking like an excellent backup.
  • No idea why Fernandez starts over Ojeda. Neither is amazing, but Ojeda helps the offense function while Fernandez inhibits it.
  • Impressive match from both Wolf and Illenic. This is rounding into a very solid Wolf season.
  • Risa is not worth anywhere close to what we are paying him; he got cooked on the goal and on another chance in the 55th. When we are giving up offense to play a CB at LB, he shouldn't be getting beat worse than our offensive minded LWBs.
  • So happy to see KOT get a goal, personally I like he's better than a lot give him credit for.
