I understand some of the skepticism considering the history within this club in such a short time. But listening to Mehdi talk today about how involved Pascal still is in the day-to-day, I don't think this is one of those cases.
My sentiment is (A) I wish him and his family well, and (B) I find it funny to joke about this meaning he is leaving. FWIW I'm betting on him staying.
My 4-part progression was
- Him leaving never occurred to me
- When raised, thought actually this is part of the pattern
- Yet unlikely as it is missing all the job rumors
- But, if it is what’s happening that’s both infuriating and hilarious.
I’d also add that any joking about Pascal leaving is in no way meant to make light of his personal situation. It’s entirely aimed at the club and the front office, given their... let’s say, complicated history with transparency.
I could have sworn he coached at least one match previously, but GC says different.
I know for certain at least one or two games when Vieira was suspended. He had extra staff, I think they took over as head coach.

I was so disgusted, I just washed up and went to bed. I didn't fall asleep until midnight, though.
