New Swag

3-D embroidered ginormous NYC Monogram Gray Snapback Cap

Adidas needs to seriously tone down the overall size of the NYC monogram logo on the hats. It would be nice if it was more classically sized, at least please offer one that is.

Blind squirrel nailed it on this post.

I go so far as to buy things, get them home into the context of reality, and realize it’s effectively clown shoes.

47 or bust with hats. The rest, aside from a basic logo or twist out of it, I’m done. Can’t buy this ridiculous shit anymore. At least they gave up the graffiti junk. That looked so bad on anything, to me. I can’t help it.

I have certain sensibilities, and not paying to wear a logo the size of my head is one of them. I don’t care if it’s NYC or a designer. Does not fly.

Yes, I mean you with a tastelessly oversized Gucci belt buckle announcing you have less taste than brains because Gucci leather is only sub-par garbage from a licensee. And now I digress.

Ferragamo or bust. Amiright??

How warm is it? The description says "Lightweight jacket suitable for mild temperatures". Is this accurate? I'm looking for a warm hoodie for those cold games in March and April.
it's got nice thickness but you'd need more than just that on a blustery March/April day

Thanks! Yeah it would be one of the layers.

I purchased the New York City FC adidas Travel Full-Zip climalite Jacket last year and it is pretty thin so I'm looking for something warmer then that. Oddly enough the description for that one said "Midweight jacket suitable for moderate temperatures" which I would strongly disagree with.

I didn't purchase that one from last year but familiar with the make/quality. This one has much more of a heavy cotton sweatshirt/hoody feel to it, less polyester feeling than last year, if that makes sense?

I'm pretty fed up with the quality of mainstream sportswear. Curious how receptive people would be to fanwear with better quality and style, with the right colors but maybe without graphic branding...

I like some of the new stuff but I don't always need to see NYCFC on the front AND a logo on the sleeve, back, etc.

Perfect example...

I love this...

But hate this...

Word, it's pretty bad. Proportions and placement look completely unconsidered.

I think it would be hard to get away with actual logos and stuff, but referential motifs and copy should be fine, possibly even better.
